What felt like a rather random choice of place to stay turned out to be a brilliant option. Such an interesting building and complex, loved all the little details in the room that made it feel like you were in a cruise ship cabin or posh yacht. Door handles = marine cleats! View over the harbour with boats bobbing about was beautiful, also loved the row of deckchairs in front of the lifeboats. Private parking was included (permit issued by reception). Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not crazy fancy, but it’s a decent step up from a Premier Inn. We just forgot to use the aircon, so it was a warm nights sleep, but that was our fault. Breakfast was self serve style in the ground floor restaurant and again, it wasn’t bad at all. A few things had run out but that’s because we got there late (they serve til 10.30am which I totally appreciate with checkout a reasonable 11am). But we had more than enough, and didn’t even need lunch. I really enjoyed our stay, wish I’d enquired about tours of the whole place.

Wow, I would highly recommend staying here. From arriving at reception, it feels so so special. When you speak to reception they show a genuine interest in you and are passionate about rnli. We managed to book a table at the restaurant after having a drink in the sun The restaurant staff where amazing, especially Olena.

My partner and I were looking for somewhere to stay in Poole for a short holiday and came across the RNLI College. What an absolute amazing place to stay. The College far exceeded our expectations, the food was very good, the staff friendly, the facilities modern and spotlessly clean. We booked the tour to see the training of the RNLI volunteers which included going in the simulator in a force 8 gale and seeing crew practice life saving techniques in the pool. The bedroom was beautiful with an en suite with views across the harbour. We were so impressed by the whole experience that we have decided to become RNLI volunteers ourselves and support their fantastic work in saving lives at sea and indeed some inland waterways.

Ate in the restaurant. Very good value for money. For both people to eat in the restaurant it came to £11. You will need to book a table ahead. Had an amazing guided tour by volunteer Dave king . Who was really informative about the surrounding buildings. One actually used for building their own lifeboats. Had a ride on the simulator, a look at the hydraulic and engineering work shops.

Had a wonderful stay at the RNLI College. During the Poole Lifeboat Festival weekend. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was amazing. The views were even better. The onsite Riggers Restaurant is fantastic. A wonderful dinner on the Sunday night. And breakfast on the Monday morning. It was well located within walking distance to the Railway Station. Would definitely stay again.

Comfy, well appointed and clean rooms with extremely welcoming and helpful staff. College tours give a fascinating insight into the RNLI and are highly recommended. Meal options in the Restaurant are all from a buffet selection so of limited choice - and a bit average for the price.

I visited the college with a group. It is a very interesting place to visit, with knowledgeable volunteer guides. The lifeboat simulator was a highlight of the trip, tricking your brain into feeling like the real thing , not an experience for those who get sea sick 😄. The views from the cafe and restaurant across the harbour were lovely, and open to the public, even if you don't visit the college. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try out the food etc., so a return visit is planned. This feels like a hidden gem.

We only stayed 1 night but based on that 1 night I would highly recommend the college to anyone. The rooms were bright and cheery, spotlessly clean with everything you could need together with a great view. We only had 1 meal, breakfast but it was really good. Great choice and all well prepared. As I said before I would highly recommend the college to anyone

Excellent very comfortable accommodation overlooking Poole Harbour The food at both breakfast and dinner was very good as was the staff attention, and the tour around the centre was especially interesting too. Well worth the visit, and we will look forwarding to returning in the future.
