Wolf Cove Inn

Our first visit was during a major snowstorm. What a New England inn should be. Right on Lake Tripp, a beautiful location. Hosts Geoffrey and Nicole are working hard 24/7 to make your visit. We stayed in the Acadia suite, a fantastic room, with excellent value. It has a large sitting room, a jacuzzi tub, a separate shower—super comfortable king bed. The inn decor is charming and reflects the history of the place. The stay included a really tasty breakfast - cottage cheese pancakes topped with a strawberry compote, locally sourced maple sausage, eggs cooked perfectly, and excellent coffee. That was needed as between the winds and the 12" of snow coming down, you needed to fuel up! The inn has a very comfortable screen room where we sat and watched the snowfall. There is also a romantic boat house for two people to dine in during the spring/summer/fall season, which looks really beautiful. The staff was very hospitable, friendly, engaged, and clearly took pride in the place (and their jobs). The inn serves a dinner. My wife and I shared a garden salad that was full of seasonal veggies and very tasty. We both had the beef ragu which absolutely was amazing, the best I've ever had! We also had dessert - a locally made "sugar cookie" cake topped with buttercream frosting and a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache. Yum! The menu is small but everything on the winter menu (including a vegetable lasagna that looked fantastic and excellent pizza) was tempting. Worth a drive here for the food, better yet, include an overnight stay so you can have breakfast as well.

From start to finish, the owners of this stunning inn have thought through every detail. We were welcomed with a beautifully written note and a box of chocolates to help us celebrate our anniversary. All the food at the inn is fresh, wholesome, and healthy not to mention delicious. The new bar was perfect and the drinks were hand crafted and very special made with real ingredients like ginger or watermelon! Our room was very comfortable and had incredible views and comfortable beds. The other great thing is that this town of Poland had many great finds such as brewery’s with sourdough pizza, frozen custard, and antique shops to browse. We also had an incredible dinner at a local restaurant with farm to table food. We are definitely keeping this place on our list of places to return to!

We had a lovely 3 night stay in this beautiful inn, which is in a gorgeous setting. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Geoff and his employees were very friendly. (Nothing against Nicole, we just didn’t get to meet her!) We will be back.

Loved Wolf Cove Inn! Nicole & Geoff were wonderful hosts with a friendly staff! Great food every morning… fresh ingredients too. Warm, cozy, homie atmosphere with a beautiful view of Tripp Lake. Great communication, easy booking and truly enjoyed our 5 course family dinner cooked just for us to celebrate my bday! Great location for so many different activities including dog sledding, skiing, XC skiing, ice fishing, exploring surround towns for local Maine made gifts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wolf Cove Inn. Owners Geoff and Nicole and their staff do their best to make your time away enjoyable. Our room ( Cadillac Mountain) had a beautiful view of the lake, a comfortable bed and pillows. The tub is perfect to melt away your stress. Luxuriously thick describes the towels. The breakfasts were delicious, generous and please ask for the bacon! The lake and its surrounding views beckons you to read, reflect or enjoy the canoes and kayaks. We look forward to our next visit!

The Wolfcove Inn felt like a literal Hallmark movie come to life. Nicole, Geoff and their entire staff made you feel welcomed, appreciated and like family. Every detail of the Inn made for a curated and charming holiday. Everything we ate was beyond delicious and locally sourced. The high end details also made it extra special from the Campfire dish ware, cozy robes and bedding, and fabulous bathroom products. We will definitely be back.
