Pro: good location,big room,good food at restaurant
Con: lack of heating during evening. Heating starts at 00:30 until 6 in the morning;disaster in sauna and shower in pool area...no shower gel,no recipient for water in sauna

Unfortunately, our experience at Rizzo Hotel was deeply disappointing. The staff lacked courtesy and genuine willingness to assist. On several occasions, they raised their voices and acted confrontationally—particularly when we requested a meal from the kitchen just a few minutes after closing time and were met with an abrupt refusal and disrespectful behavior. The quality of the food was extremely poor. The ingredients used were not fresh, and the overall selection was limited and, frankly, embarrassing. Some dishes were simply inedible. Room maintenance was also below standard: the toilet was broken, the water in the shower was dangerously hot, and the towels smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The jacuzzi water was dirty, and overall cleanliness throughout the hotel was lacking and did not match the expectations from a hotel of this level. It’s a shame—this place has potential, but it requires serious investment in service, maintenance, and guest relations in order to justify the price and provide a pleasant and respectful hospitality experience.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights for an escorted tour with Mercury Holidays. Despite the negative reviews for this hotel, I couldn't find one fault!! The hotel is situated in a lovely, quiet ski resort (albeit I have come out of season so it may feel busier in winter). The hotel is small and cosy. Rooms are extremely clean, the bed is comfortable with all the facilities you could need! I ate in the hotel all 3 evenings, the menu was substantial and the quality of food was fantastic! Breakfast food was also really good, a nice mix of continental and hot food. The pool was clean and fresh - again, I couldn't fault it. I have stayed in a lot of hotels across the world and this hotel was great value for money and the cleanliness was brilliant. Do not be put off by the other reviews!

Nice and clean food both at breakfast and ordering in the restaurant was excellent saw bears while there walking in-front of hotel other places to eat close by it was so quiet the spa and pool were spotless close to places of interest you have everything you need

The hotel has a great location and parking is available and free for hotel guest. We enjoyed the decor and cleanliness of the room. The buffet breakfast was delicious, a lot to chose from. We did not use the swimming pool. Overall a great experience and a good choice.

A nice hotel. Set in a forest so nice views. Pool, hot tub and sauna. Good breakfast lots of variety. Vegetarian options at dinner very limited but the local wine is very good! The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. A 15 minute, dark, walk away from amenities. Staff ok, cleaning staff very friendly.

It is not a 4 star hotel. Invasion of cockroaches. At least 20 rooms had cockroaches, rooms checked. Out of 20 people who ate for lunch (03.01.2024), 4 had fara in their food/plate. The staff shrugged... "we have documents that extermination was done", as if cockroaches know a book. To avoid !!!

We stayed at this hotel late September. We were part of a small tour group visiting Transylvania. We had an evening meal on our first night. We arrived late evening. Because the restaurant was closed for renovations until our last evening, we ate upstairs for our first nights dinner and breakfast for 4 of the 5 days we were there in what was possibly a meeting room. The dinner was typically Eastern European, very stodgy and filling. Breakfast was ok. Rooms were also ok and quiet. We were at the back of the hotel overlooking the mountains/forest. On our first night we both received an “Emergency Bear Sighting in the area Alert” stating not to venture out! Frightened the life out of us. Out of skiing season this area is very remote with very little open. We did venture out on our 2nd night down to a snack cart about 200m down the road. We were very nervous about it as it get’s dark early in late September with no road lighting either. Staff at the hotel spoke reasonable English and were very friendly. Frightened the life out of us

We stayed here for just three nights as part of a tour. It is quite nice and the staff try to be friendly but there is somewhat of a language barrier which is only to be expected. It is in a good location with only a few amenities in walking distance so you will definately need transport to get anywhere at all. There is a lovely restaurant at another hotel a few minutes walk away but we chose to eat at the Rizzo retaurant as they we much better equipped for allergies. The food was very nice indeed although with a limited menu as they seem to have run out of many items eg the dessert choice of assorted ice creams was only chocolate! Breakfast is quite good but is very limited for allergies, my wife is coeliac and there was very little for her at all so luckily she took her own gluten free porridge. The room is quite good and all that we needed for our stay, not particularly luxurious but adequate for our needs. The hotel advertises a rooftop swimming pool, however it is actually on the lower ground floor and has limited opening times, it did however look quite good.
