Invicta Hotel

Great location, morning sunrise superb

Staff was outstanding! Breakfast was delicious, Beds so comfy, Really nice hotel, Location is great for the hoe… Parking £10 a night pre book. Very welcoming staff I will give it a 8 out of 10 Unfortunately the carpet was filthy and the shower wasn’t working very well.

We arrived at the hotel and all was well, they have recently refurbished the room so recently that you can still smell the paint. The room was a decent size and clean. We popped out for tea and had to hand our keys in which felt unusual but that's their policy so I guess that's fine. I slept ok the beds are quite comfy, but when I woke up it all went a bit wrong. So in order to lock your door you have to slam it, which everyone was doing, the room next to me did this, I wouldn't say they slammed it very hard but it was hard enough to take the mirror clean off my wall, thankfully it got wedged between the wardrobe and a socket, had it not done that it could of smashed. The next thing I did was get in the shower, I can honestly say is the most pathetic shower I've had for a long time, I was on the top floor and there is no water pressure at all in the shower its pretty much like going out in a rain shower I had to kneel on the floor to rinse the shampoo out my hair, not ideal, on the plus side at least it was hot. Other than those two point the stay was fine, breakfast was lovely and staff friendly. One thing I would stay if you're thinking of staying here is, there is a lot of stairs if you are on the top floor it's good for working off breakfast but maybe a problem if your not fit and healthy. So I would recommend staying in room 29 or under. The hotel is in a good location near the Hoe and has a free all be it smallish car park to the rear. Also has free and fast wifi.
