It is a short drive to multiple golf courses, mountain biking areas, Lake Davis and Quincy California. There are also numerous dining options in Portola and Graeagle . The historic Western Pacific Railroad Museum is a tourist draw in Portola. which is located on the Middle Fork of the American River. There are six golf courses nearby, hundreds of hiking trails and cross country skiing.
