I booked Barrington's for my Partner's birthday, and paid an extra R700 to upgrade the room, which was very nice. The problem with Barrington's is that as a Wine Bar, Sports bar type place it's actually quite good, however a Classy restaurant is is not. No-one seems to be in charge, and it shows. Staff whilst friendly are not that well Trained. Perceptions are so important, and The whole experience was about money. After the meal we were offerd a complementary Drink in the bar, but there was only three choices , A glass of Cheap Plonk, cheap brandy or some other cheap cocktail. Very miserly, and then after breakfast, ( you were allowed R200 each ) they asked for R49. I'm sorry, i absolutely love South Africa, but the penny pinching just leaves a sour taste in ones mouth. It's not the amount at all, it's the principle. Sad, but never again.

Such a lovely place to stay, cannot recommend highly enough! All the staff so lovely, food amazing, rooms perfect with such lovely little touches and great products. We even had a basket of washing done same day. Great place, would love to return.

This is a really lovely hotel with a nice bar and dining area and lovely rooms with a quality feel . They offer a laundry service at a reasonable price and staff are generally attentive , we found the manager Bryon to be attentive and able to assist when required . The bar and restaurant shuts rather early and do getting drinks late in the evening can be an issue My only negative that the breakfast service is rather slow with errors on orders placed , this needs attention and resolving , waiting 40 mins for tea and coffee is unacceptable

Barringtons was the perfect place to spend a few days in Plett. The hotel sits at the end of a magnificent vegetable garden. The rooms are simply designed, with a roomy bathroom and shower and a very comfy bed with lovely views of the gardens. The restaurant has a superb menu and we enjoyed mushroom and thyme tagliatelle, flamed grilled burgers and great fries, smoked ribs and salad. All of it was delicious! mY husband enjoyed the craft beers and I enjoyed the wines. The wait staff was excellent at both the hotel an restaurant.

Although we only stayed one night, Barrington's was brilliant. Our room was comfortable, stylish and clean. We stayed in for food and drinks as Barrington's have a lovely restaurant/bar downstairs - all supplied by their kitchen garden. 100% would recommend visiting even if you don't have time to stay the night as their brewery and farm shop is an experience!

We stayed at Barringtons on our way to and from the Eastern Cape. . Barringtons has a wonderful restaurant, a brewery on site and a gorgeous kitchen garden as well as nursery. Our dinners were superb and there was a real buzz and vibe with all the guests and locals enjoying drinks and good food. On our second stay we were upgraded to deluxe rooms as the rooms we had booked were being serviced. I can't remember when last that happened! The deluxe rooms have balconies and ample place to sit and relax. Our breakfast the following morning was delicious and we left happy and full! We won't hesitate to stay at Barringtons again.

Great 2 night stay in a cute small hotel. Perfect for a weekend getaway, rooms were neat and modern and service was excellent. Restaurant on the premises serves brilliant brilliant food and the beer brewed in house is also really really good.

Barringtons Plett One of the best Boutique Hotels I have ever stayed at – steeped in History, a stay at Barrington’s Plett offers a unique experience that you will never forget.. It is home to the first Craft Brewery in Plett and has a fabulous Kitchen Garden where they grow all their own herbs & vegetables resulting in fresh & tasty meals no matter what you order! There is also a Deli & Bakery where they sell their freshly baked goods – which smell heavenly! The small Hotel is situated directly above the brewery, with views over the greenery surrounding the property. It is centrally located a stone’s throw from the beach and other fun activities like golf, surf lessons, sailing etc. The rooms are bright, beautifully decorated & comfortable – perfect for a romantic weekend away or Honeymoon. The staff are accommodating and friendly – always ready to help with a big smile.. Thank you Barrington’s we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

That attention to detail and going that extra mile with clients is so important and you guys went all out! Can’t wait to come back again. I will be recommending to all my guest visiting Villa Palmera in Mossel Bay.
