The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences

THE RESORT FOOD AT ALL THE RESIDENCES WAS TOP NOTCH. THE ROOMS WERE BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. THE BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE BUT HARD. THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. THERE WAS NIGHTY ENTERTAINMENT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO STAY AND WILL BE RETURNING

It was as if the staff’s job was to ensure you had a horrible time and they excelled at their job. Everything that could’ve gone wrong–from leaks in the bathrooms to walking in the pouring rain because our requests were ignored–went wrong. My family and I experienced rude staff that gave us attitude and blatantly ignored us when we spoke, mis placement of rooms, water leakage in bathrooms, false promises, and the worst customer service. The only way I would recommend this resort is if I wanted someone’s vacation to go as smoothly as a car crash. Needless to say, I will not plan anymore future vacations at The Fives.

We started our trip 23 to the 29. the beds were so hard and they had no hot water. we complained and had the maintenance guy come and service it the last day we were there. we bought the most expensive pent house with 3 rooms and they did not treat us with respect. the bar tenders except (alex who is great) were so rude and disrespectful. the waiters will treat you horrible if you don’t have the proper attire. they didn’t have the elevator working in villa 18 and they served us nachos with no cheese for room service. made us get sick from cold water. the ceviche spot on the beach the cooks are super rude. terrible experience. leaving with the worst vacation ever

This resort is average. We took our family of 5 the week of July 12,2024. We had the two bedroom penthouse epic room. The rooms are extremely nice. If it was just the rooms I would have given this resort 5 stars. The rooms where very spacious and the cleaning staff was extremely nice and helpful. Our family travel to enjoy the beach. This beach is very subpar. Its very small and rocky. The resort has put large bags of concrete about 30 yards out in the water to create a swimming zone. This blocks the view. The beach is also not private. There were many locals on the beach that set up tents, playing music and leaving trash on the beach. I would give the beach 1 star. The food was very good. There are several restaurants to choose from. Our favorite was the Italian. But, the Tai and French were a close second. However, these restaurants are very small and hard to get reservation. (hint if you do not have an epic room you can not even make reservations and your wait would be 1-2 hours) I would give the restaurants 4 stars Total resort. This resort is very spread out. Most rooms have a 5-10 min walk to the beach. I doubt any have a view of the ocean. The pools are very nice but tucked very close to the rooms. Therefore, there is not much breeze around the pools. I would give the pools 3 stars.

Went to the resort for a wedding and it was amazing! Best food that I have ever had at any resort! I love the restaurant choices and the food quality. Not your typical resort! The rooms were spacious. The resort had great amenities, a nice spa and helpful staff. I can’t wait to go back!

We have just returned from our 6th visit to The Fives, travelling with a family of 13, 8 adults, 5 children-6 month to 5 years old. We were located in 2 , 2 bdr. unit building 8. Our butler Sebastian was amazing he dealt with all our requests including baby equipment in a timely and efficient manner, a true gem of a gentleman. The restaurants , food quality in all was top notch, we did not have one bad meal, only issue was with a couple of the little ones who are picky eaters, there was not a lot of options for them, but having said that they did not go hungry. Our favourite restaurant Italian, French and Mexician. The refresh of the Mexican restaurant creates a great atmosphere. The wait staff at the Italian restaurant are true professionals, Antonio May, Carlos Pationo and Raul, thank you for such attentive service to such a large group, you all made our night. The beach is beautiful, great swimming, it is cleaned consistently so we had no seaweed issues, the water is crystal clear, with some great snorkling under the pier. We did get a Bali bed which is perfect to keep the little ones out of the sun. Roberto our Beach Butler was so friendly and always stopped to ask if we needed anything. Always with a friendly smile and stopped to say hi even if we weren't in his section.. Thankyou again for your help during the week. We all were able to take sometime off to enter the spa and enjoy an amazing massage. The ambience of the spa is relaxing and tranquil, I would highly recommend it. Migielina was my therapist, one of the best massages I have ever had! Last I want to thank Pedro in the Prestige office, I cannot get over the customer service you provided. We were overwhelmed and very much appreciated that you understood what we were looking for in our family trip and helped us to create some amazing memories. Again thank you so much, your are a true benefit to the Prestige office and to The Fives. I would overall recommend this resort for families there is a lot of outdoor spaces to hang out, the Plaza has also been revamped to create a great spot to hang out in the evenings. The do have entertainment but it can be low key, to be honest with the little ones we were in bed by 11! Only disappointment the Sky bar, it is a beautiful space that could be so much more but basically remains empty and under-utilized. It would be a great late night spot or a romantic area for an evening drink.
