Now already 8 weeks back from Tigotan. Very nice reception by Guest Relations and Sr Javier Gomez and by Anna on 16 January for a 15 days stay. Very happy that they assigned us our preferred suite. Room was good, except some ‘sloppiness’: First day shower pressure was not good. Fixed quickly. At first television did not function well. Could not be fixed directly and totally. A day later: temporary solution. The 4th day 2 technicians put a new ‘cable’. Later we still missed some channels. Was fixed soon by ‘expert’ Carlos. Bathroom: magnifying mirror still too high… I had brought my own again. Shelfs very narrow. In general: happy with the room, especially with our terrace. We noticed that around 11h00 most (sunny) sunbeds at poolterrace were ‘reserved’... Very good that notes were put at sunbeds where towels were put early. Good have been more strict. Breakfast: was rather okay. A pity that not every morning there were ‘croissants integral’, around 10 a.m. Sugar free jam only pre-packaged in small cups Dinner: unfortunately food was not always warm enough, except fresh baked/made meat, fish a.s.o. Even oriental part did not stay warm, and almost every day the same. Final week containers of raw vegetables were sometimes (almost) empty around 20h45 and not supplemented. After about 8-9 days, it appears that the buffet variation could have been some what greater. In general: food seemed to have deteriorated somewhat compared to last year, in terms of quality, diversity and attention. Because of reduction of purchasing costs? Restaurant Santa Rosa: nothing changed: we think it is not very refined. Big portions and not all ingredients were written on the menu. Our waiter Mustafa still friendly! We appreciated the Exclusieve lounge (had Half Board Exclusive), not some English ‘ladies’ who put alcholic drinks in their waterbottles… We went to the ‘hall bar’ after dinner. Some – live - music was very (or far too) loud; did not like that, but it was nice for an after dinner drink (short stay). Two times we had a question for GEX / Reception, but could hardly communicate: not hear them, nor could they hear/understand us. We like to mention staff: Lina and Mansour (GEX). Restaurant & bar & excl. lounge: first of all: Lorena and Lucille! Also Giorgia, Max and Lidia. Kitchen/cooks: Abdul, Brahim and Kyllian. And our nice chambermaid Anyi. In spite of some - constructive - critical comments, we have enjoyed our stay very much! Staff has a great, positive influence to that. But mainly: our suite. We consider returning February 2026! Probably around 3 weeks then, hoping buffet quality will be improved…
