Relaxia Lanzasur Club - Aqualava Water Park

Sat at the airport waiting to fly home sob sob. Spent a week at this hotel, rooms were lovely and quiet, grounds were beautiful. One of the pools was heated. We walked up volcano rojo from the hotel and with a 9 year old this took approx 50 minute. We hired a two seater buggy from travelon and went on a guided tour which was great fun. Plenty of choices for food, I am a vegetarian so found it a little harder but the food isn’t why we came. 5 minute walk out the back gate and your at flamingo beach and lovely walks along the promenade. Can’t fault the hotel, everyone was friendly. Would come again

We stayed here for Christmas , 2 adults and 2 children. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, from the groundsmen, cleaners, restaurant, reception and management. We had 2 bungalows with inter connecting door. They were very clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. The hotel, grounds, and pool areas were kept very clean. Santa arrived on his camel on Christmas Day, which was a great surprise, and gave all the children a gift. The animation team worked very hard, were very friendly and great fun. The food in the restaurant and pool bar were buffet. There was plenty of choice , but I think this could be improved. We had a great holiday and would love to come back next Christmas.

I will give my most honest opinion on our stay from start to finish and try to cover all basis. FOOD: The food is absolutely stunning, fresh and warm (ready to eat temperature as to not burn). I especially loved the salad and soup section, always started off my meal with there. Breakfast is your typical continental with bacon, sausage and eggs available as well as fresh fruit, porridge/cereals and pastries. Always had plenty on offer and the staff kept the food topped up continuously and the tables were cleared, cleaned and relayed within minutes of the previous occupants leaving. 10/10 for the food. I’m extremely fussy too! ROOMS: Our chalet was very cosy, if a little small but as a couple travelling alone it wasn’t much of a bother. The aircon could do with an update and so could the bathtub. I did not once bath for the whole stay because it was grimy looking so I always had quick showers instead. We did have a problem with the shower water not draining which led to our bathroom flooding one evening. Other than that the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. 7/10 POOL AREA: Always plenty of loungers to go around, even later on when the hotel started to let busier. You can hire out a huge towel for €10 each and you get this back at the end of your stay. The pools are beautiful and clean, we swam often in the main pool as it was close to where we liked to sit. In November the second pool near the children’s pool is heated, which I know from when my mum staid here last year! Flooring around pool is very slippery so I think this needs to be quickly addressed due to witnessing lots of people sliding and falling. Pool bar could do with more to eat like chips, nuggets etc but lots of hot dogs, pizza, burgers and fresh salad on offer daily. We didn’t bother much because we were so full from our main restaurant food! 8/10 ANIMATION TEAM: Omg I could not commend them enough, they made our stay so welcoming and comedic. They constantly had games for both adults and kids throughout the day. The team members were all amazing, we interacted with Simon, David and Jorge as they did most adult activities and they were so funny! One point I could make is to have normal music on during the day by the pool as the continued loop of melodic music doesn’t do much for guests other than make the nod off in the sun haha! 10/10 FRONT DESK: Most of the receptionists, if not all, were nice and well mannered. They quickly helped with what ever questions you had or anything you needed. 10/10 but did not need them much SPA AND PHOTOGRAPHERS: These are extra but I used both services and they were amazing. I found the spa to be relaxing and rejuvenating, well worth the €66 I paid for a full body massage (50mins). We had a photography session with Narges and she was so kind and lovely. Made you feel at ease and comfortable instantly. Would highly recommend. 10/10 Overall our stay was amazing!! Would recommend walking (if you can) or catch a taxi to the rubicon centre

Amazing hotel. I’ll bullet point this for you all You can ALWAYS get a sunbed. Noone reserves them, always plenty here. Food is tasty, hot, plenty of choice, chefs and the staff always cater to you Rooms are clean, spacious, comfy beds. Hotel staff are AMAZING and friendly Pools are brilliant, one is cold, 2 are warmed. Water park is brilliant fun Close walk to the beach and shops. Lovely boardwalk at night. Entertainment is top notch Kids club is superb. Drinks are great!! Local beer is beautiful, wine on tap, vodka etc all part of the AI experience. On site shop, games room etc for the kids is great also. Transfer time was about an hour on coach. We are coming here again for sure! Loved every minute of it.

So from our personal experience here's our review. Don't let it put you off, as we are probably 1/100 who had a bad experience.  We arrived 19th October for 7 days, we’d booked a conjoining villa for 4 adults and 3 children. We checked in at 12.00pm and we were told to come back at 1.30pm. We went to get the keys at 1.30pm and only one side(villa) was ready. We were told the other side would be ready at 2pm.  At 2pm we went back and was told it still wasn't ready and they would call us. It got to gone 3pm and I went back down as the kids were shattered from travelling. The manager made a phone call and then said 'sorry it's been ready for a long time, cleaners don't communicate".  Once in the room, straight away it was dirty, the floors were covered in black fluff, light hanging out of the ceiling in the bathroom and worms crawling up the shower screen and the bottom of the bath was filthy and so worn it was holding dirt in broken areas.  Maintenance came to change the light and push it back in the ceiling, but stood on the sink and got muck off his boots and cement out the ceiling every where and just brushed it all over the floor. After complaining, I was told the room would be deep cleaned as they couldn't move us due to being full. Well the deep clean never happened, even after asking again. One night our youngest daughter wet the bed( she's never done this, think she was tired). I speak Spanish so asked for a new mattress and cover and even offered to carry the mattress to the laundry. I was told no they will change it. Well it wasn't changed, they simply put another sheet on it, after the foam dryed in the sun(so hope no one ends up sleeping on this now). The floors were so filthy due to them not being cleaned during our stay, that we had to buy slippers and put them on as soon as we got out the shower, or even went to the toilet in the night, so dirty feet weren't in the beds. On night 3&4 we got worms in the bath again. We told the hotel and was met with " Not sure what we can do".  Animation team were so good and friendly, the girls loved the mini disco and the shows each night (apart from Thursdays of course) the karaoke, movie quiz, flaminco dancers and the magicians were wicked!Foam party on the last day was amazing and the use of the water park is a definite must and add on! Animation team are so friendly coming up to us to join in activities, we played a few games pool side. Food - Loved the food and our three girls loved helping themselves. I am 1/4 Spanish, so they are used to Spanish food, so the girls loved everything! Loved how they had plain pasta or spaghetti for the kids, with sauce separate. The pool bar in the day could do with more of a selection.  Having stayed in an AI before, one thing that let Lanzasur down was the fizzy drink machines not being on in the mornings or till very late at night. 2nd visit and again Not Disappointed. Some negative first. A bit of a mix bag, at kids buffet dinner. New soap dispenser either work or they don't. All the good bits. Each villa is cleaned everyday with new towels. Snack bar at pool, was good. Restaurant food was good and varied, with some theme nights. Daily activities was good to keep the kids and adults entertained all through the day. The kids club is very good, the team look after all are groups. Evening entertainment was ok, as it's the October week, a good mix of shows and karaoke. I can't wait to come back.
