Hotel Villa Basil

Excellent hotel, two of our rooms has recently been updated - spacious, with small kitchen area. We also had the loft room - again spacious, but I’m sure will be part of their updating plan soon. Food is served at the bar all day, by a very friendly couple. The pool area is peaceful and you can always get a sunbed, even room to move later in the day if you want more sun/shade. As it’s room only, this means guests also go to the beach which is two minutes walk away - this means the pool isn’t crowded! Our friends stayed at the TUI Maris next door all inclusive and preferred our pool area! We had one issue, the air con didn’t work the first night - but the next day it was fixed with them working until 10.45pm to fit a whole new unit. Do not be put off by the 2 star rating - I would return again! It’s a peaceful hotel, the pool area and beds are cleaned overt day. The cleaners are in the room every day. Every member of staff is friendly and wants to make sure their guests have a good time. Also worth booking direct to save even more!

We have just returned from a 9 day stay at Hotel Villa Basil with a group of our friends. We were greeted by a hotel manager who was extremely welcoming and he showed us to our room which had recently been upgraded.,it was so lovely and beautifully clean. Our room overlooked the garden which was a lovely view. We really enjoyed our breakfast looking out over the garden. The cleaning ladies worked extremely hard and the beds were changed every couple of days which I have never experienced before. There were plates ,cups and cutlery in the room to make yourself a snack etc. There was also a pool bar serving breakfast,lunch and snacks from 8am until whenever people left it. The food was lovely and tasty. The pool area was spotless and plenty of beds around it. The beach was a 2 minute walk and the shops and restaurants about 3 minutes away. It was tucked away so you never heard any noise. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want good service and clean rooms and attentive staff. We will definitely be returning to the hotel in the future.

Stayed on recommendation from my sister for 11 nights which just wasn’t long enough. Its family run very close to the beach also very quiet so you don’t get the hustle and bustle from the main part of tsivili. Very peaceful at night. I would definitely stay here again. All the staff are laid back and friendly they will sort out any problems for you. Everything is kept immaculate. The pool bar is brilliant and they do breakfast. You won’t be disappointed booking this place. Marvelous holiday really a good place to chill loved it.

Another great stay. Stayed here for three weeks May/June. Very helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Christos and Julianna are a great addition to the team, running the pool bar this year. Christos is a chef. Best greek salad I've ever had and he cooked a freshly made prawn linguine (12€) for my husband. We like to eat Greek food on holiday here and this was excellent.

Excellent small family run hotel , very clean, fantastic staff , rooms good size, great shower in bathroom, would definitely recommend and will revisit Pool area clean with plenty of sun beds , great location, close to beach and town centre and restaurants and bars Very quiet with double glazing and mosquito nets on all windows

Small, friendly, beautifully clean hotel in superb location. We were checked in quickly to room 19 which was large, immaculately clean and has a bathroom with good sized shower and balcony overlooking the bar. Aircon worked well and safe was only 16Eu for 11 nights. The pool area is spacious and cleaned each day with plenty of sunbeds, typically lots of towels out early but we always found a bed just had to wait for the sun for an hour or so. The location is excellent 5 mins slow walk to the beach and ten mins to the highstreet, there are a number of good tavernas nearby (Trente Nova, Avli, Aliotiko) and a couple of supermarkets at the end of the (short) road. Most of all it was very quiet and peaceful with no noise at all from any nearby bars. Bernie and Jeanette run the pool bar, both were friendly and serve ice cold drinks throughout the day. The food leans very much to English with reportedly great breakfast, not my ideal on holiday abroad so mostly ate lunch at the beach bars overlooking the sea. For the price this was a great hotel would like to return.
