Tesoro Hotel Zakynthos

Just returned from a lovely relaxing week at the Tesoro Hotel. Good points: Location is great, in a quiet area with great views but only a few minutes walk from the bar/restaurants/shops. Modern hotel, nice bedrooms and bathrooms, shower was great contrary to what other guests have said. Fantastic air conditioning too. Food was plentiful and good quality, with a decent choice for meat eaters and vegetarians. Top pool was our choice, much quieter generally than the lower pool. Manager was very proactive, always checking things, looking to improve things and taking on board what quests were feeding back. Fantastic value overall (for what we paid). Room for improvement: Lack of sunbeds, although more did appear as the week went on. I don’t like having to put a towel on a sunbed at 6am, but some days that was the only way the ensure you got one. Parasols have seen better days, a little tatty and dirty, but again some new ones appeared towards the end of our holiday. Music around the lower pool was sometimes too loud, and quite dated - I appreciate it’s hard to cater for all musical tastes, but there were times it felt like being in a nursing home. Top bar was closed, and I’m not sure why - would be great if it was open rather than having go up and down steps in your wet flip flops carrying drinks. Would also be nice on an evening to sit up there with a drink. Couple of restaurant issues - no pittas for the gyros, cooking station didn’t get going until well into the dinner sitting, had to wait for food to be replenished on an evening (no rice, no pasta, no potatoes for nearly 15 minutes - chef could see guests weren’t happy, the manager wasn’t around so maybe on a day off and it showed), some other potato choice rather than chips would be good. Drinks on an evening were still served in plastic cups, glass would be nice. Snacks were good, but for me they were left out too long and went dry, so maybe either cook to order or replenish them quicker. Beer and wine not amazing, and most drinks were very sweet. We would definitely stay here again - great value and much better than any other hotel for this kind of money, but with some little tweaks it could be amazing.

Top pool full of dead flies, food in restaurant flies walking on everything. Bird pooall over balcony, asked multiple times to have it cleaned,reply was birds are nesting above your room nothing we can do.room was never moped.maid left door open birds came in and wrapped everywhere. Tui rep not interested

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at this hotel, we really enjoyed our stay, all of the staff were friendly and helpful especially Costas who we asked to try and teach us some basic Greek during our stay, he had the patience of a Saint. You had a great selection of food at each meal including hot or cold selections. The hotel was clean. We did have an issue with our room which was sorted very quickly and we were moved to a different room, we could not of asked for anything more. The hotel is up a small hill, which for us was a 4 min walk from our room to the bottom of the hill where the bars and restaurants started. 14 min walk to the beach.

Stayed here for 14 Nights from the 14th July, staff are very helpful and nothing was to much of an issue, had a problem with our first room and management moved us to another room within 48hrs although the hotel was busy, also as a compliment left a bottle of wine in our room, we had our daughters 19th Birthday while staying and we where able to store the cake in one of the fridges in the hotel as one in the room as to small, Kostas in the dining was outstanding and was there everyday morning, afternoon , and evening meals. Would highly recommend this hotel and location is very good but also very quite.

Just returned from a weeks stay at Tesoro. Warm welcome & overall good stay. There was always a choice of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, however we felt nothing went with each other and nothing felt like a full meal. Out of the 7 days we ate out 4 times. Sun beds were extremely comfortable. Everything was clean and cleaners didn’t arrive too early, our room was never cleaned before 10am which we loved as we enjoyed lazy mornings. Bed was very comfortable. For what we paid, we really can’t complain as it was an overall good stay to get a week away in the sun. Improvements - Furniture needs updated, the cabinet to our mini fridge was missing its knob so we had to use a hair pin to open and close the cabinet. (Room 101) - At the top pool seating area, umbrellas could be provided for more shade. - Bar could be open earlier, pool opens at 9am but bar doesn’t open until 11am. - Paper/ plastic cups could be improved at night time, I understand around the pool but night time could be better quality.

Great little find in Zante! I have stayed in Zante many times and this hotel definitely ticks all the boxes of what we wanted in Tsilivi, central hotel, 2 minutes walk to all the bars and restaurants and 10-15 mins to the beach. Beds were comfy and rooms clean, Food was very nice considering it's such a small hotel there was a nice selection. Wine and beer was good although all I would say is there should be more wine glasses for wine as I was told most evenings they had ran out so had to drink out a tumbler glass. Also there is a bar at the top pool which I think should be open as wasn't ideal walking down to the bottom bar for drinks during the hottest parts of the day! There was one day where we didn't go down to the pool until 8:30am and there were no sunbeds at all which was disappointing. There was space for more beds so maybe this could be looked in to? Overall though a lovely hotel and with a few tweaks could be absolutely amazing. Would definitely return, Perfect hotel for exploring Tsilivi
