Starlight Boutique Hotel Pioneertown

We had a bad experience: we were looking for a clam hotel but the place was very noisy (others guests) Rooms were not as clean as expected and we had no election than having diners on site (VERY expensive for an average experience) BTW: Back home, I googled the " owner" and discovered he was a known crook!

I loved my stay here! Was in town for a Cody Jinks show and booked a room at Starlight. The hosts were lovely and the property was clean and super unique. Off the beaten path for sure, but such lovely grounds I did NOT want to leave the next day. Looking forward to a reason to stay here again.

The Starlight is run by a lovely, friendly couple from France who unfortunately seem to have lost whatever enthusiasm they may have at one time had for running a hotel. Most disappointing: when we booked, we were told that breakfast was included, and in the guestbook located at the entrance to the hotel, it states that breakfast is included, ‘free.’ However, when we inquired, we were told that continental breakfast was $23 per person. There wasn’t even coffee available, not in the room and not in the public area. This was particularly annoying because the closest place to get coffee was twenty minutes out of our way. The pool was full of leaves and the hot tub was closed, and no one offered to open it for us. There was no refrigerator in the room and as a result we had to throw out some food we’d been carrying in a cooler. There was one chair in the room and it was broken. All in all, given that we paid $418.50 before tax, the Starlight did not live up to our expectations.

Ein Juwel in der Wüste! Chris und Benoit sind Gastgeber von Herzen und haben uns sehr persönlich bewirtet und uns mit einer Selbstverständlichkeit geholfen, als wir eine Autopanne hatten. Unser Zimmer war stylish, die Sterne glitzerten sogar auf dem Fussboden und alles war extravagant dekoriert. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, das ‚Wohnzimmer‘, wo es serviert wurde ein Traum. Ein unglaublich toller und magischer Ort in der Einsamkeit. Wir haben es sehr genossen.
