Lovely owner and her staff are a credit to her. Excellent place to stay. Motorcycle friendly with secure off street parking.

An excellent 'home from home' stay and a great location. It's a short walk to the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. A warm friendly welcome on arrival and we were shown immediately to our room. Our room (No6) has a great view and is spacious and bright. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. Tea & Coffee making facilities along with biscuits were appreciated. The ensuite bathroom was spacious too and had complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was lovely, so many choices to pick and the portions were generous. A great place to stay!!

The old manse hotel is very friendly , homely , cosy hotel , in the beautiful town of Pickering , Yorkshire . Rooms generous size , bed very comfortable , tea /coffee facility all toiletry products in the bathroom . Breakfast Full English to" die for " totally set us up for the day Would defiantly use this Hotel again .

Went to the Old Manse in pickering for an overnight stay with husband. Hotel is minutes away from center of pickering with pubs, Restaurants, shops etc. The hotel was spotlessly clean, breakfast was really good quality, lots of options. You chose breakfast items day before and time you want to eat and then come down to breakfast. Host was very friendly, will definately go back when I the area.

Great hotel, lovely rooms, excellent food with plenty of parking. Only down side was dogs were allowed in the Dining room which is a big no no, we left breakfast early one morning because of the non stop yapping between 2 or 3 different sets of dogs. Apart from that, lovely place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay here in mid May. A peaceful location (with on site parking) yet within easy reach of the town centre. Excellent breakfast with so much choice that we had ordered the evening before. We had booked dinner on the first evening and because we enjoyed it so much we booked for the following evening as well. We were lucky with the weather and were able to sit in the beautiful garden. Host Valerie and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a room on the ground floor. If/when the room is upgraded an additional, easily accessible electrical socket for the hairdryer and charging a mobile phone would be helpful (unless there was one and we just couldn’t see it). We would certainly stay here again.

Very comfortable room, convenient location, excellent food at breakfast and an owner (Valerie) who could not be friendlier and who goes out of her way to ensure guests have a great stay. She delays the evening menu until she has seen what local providers have that is particularly good and will endeavour to meet requests. Cannot recommend this highly enough.
