Hotel is right on the beach in Karon (only hotel which offers this I believe) so the location is perfect for those who want beach access. Nothing else in the nearby area though, apart from a beach restaurant called Daengs - very reasonably priced food and drinks here; you will visit this place plenty rather than eating and drinking in the hotel. Compared to what you get outside, the hotels prices are high and you’d be foolish to eat all the time in the hotel with so many great food options in Karon, Patong and Kata. Karon town centre is about a 15-20 min walk along the beach - you have to cross a river on the beach so be prepared to get wet feet. Otherwise the walk into town is on a busy road with no walkway, so be prepared to use Bolt (this is best for Phuket NOT Grab) or a taxi to get anywhere from this hotel unless you walk along the beach. Our room was huge - Premium Room - and we had a huge wraparound balcony. However the balcony seemed like a bit of a waste of space (the “lounge” area was outside) - personally I think if it’s going to be designed as a suite with a lounge area, that should be inside the room not on the balcony as it was a waste of space. I’d probably only book this room category if I liked sitting outside all the time - a standard balcony with more space inside would’ve worked better. Having said that, the buildings and the grounds are IMMACULATE and BEAUTIFUL and you really do feel like you are staying in a paradise resort. The pool areas are great, there is a lazy river, slides and a cliff you can jump off - it’s a lot of fun for water babies! The only downside (other than no 7-11 or no other restaurants nearby) is that there are a LOT OF STAIRS to tackle here at the resort. There seem to be only 2 x elevators which will take you from the ground floor up to the bedrooms - and they are situated at either end of all the blocks. We stayed in block 4 and it was a 15 min trek back to the room from the pool. Or you walk up 72 stairs…yes, 72 stairs, to get to your block. Not advisable for elderly or infirm people. If there were more elevators (and clearly marked step free access) then this would make the resort a lot better.

This was our second time at Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket (we first stayed here in 2019), and it felt like coming home to paradise. The direct access to the nearly private beach is unbeatable—it’s one of the very few resorts in Phuket where you can walk straight from the hotel to the sand without crossing any roads. It makes such a difference, especially when you’re traveling with kids. Speaking of kids, the Kids’ Club deserves a special mention. Our little one loved every moment there, and the nannies were so caring and professional. It gave us the chance to relax by the pools, which are fantastic! The lazy river, in particular, is a family favorite—so much fun yet so calming. The food? Amazing! There’s something for everyone, and it’s all fresh and flavorful. We treated ourselves to room service one evening and were blown away by how good the pizza was—honestly, one of the best we’ve ever had. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches everywhere. Having elevators made it super convenient to get around, even with a stroller. Whether you’re traveling with kids or just looking for a peaceful getaway, Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket is the perfect place. We’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Phuket—you won’t regret it!

The staff are so nice and helpful. Room is spacious and classic. There are many hotel activities you can choose to join. The ocean view is beautiful. Bath stones are provided for you to have onsen time with ocean view in the room. The pillows are so soft and comfortable, that make me fall asleep immediately. There are various choices of food for breakfast, including Western, Thai, Indian cuisines. In conclusion, everything is perfect. I really love to stay here. Hope to stay here again if I go to Phuket again.

When checking in, was shocked to see a long Q of people waiting to check out. Counter staff were frantically trying their best to clear as fast as they could but not really able to cope given it's a peak hour at around 11am. I believe this was also due to their current promotion of credit boost if purchase credits to be used in the resort. Would suggest resort management to consider having express check out especially for those straight forward cases since all occupants are docked with deposits when checking in. Other than this, the experience was great. Staff were all friendly and provide many valuable services like calling to confirm our check out time and knowing is extremely early at 6am, pre arrange have porter to get our luggage, morning call and even pack a breakfast for us knowing we will miss the restaurant breakfast which opens only at 6am. Room was larger than normal with reasonable pricing and not forgetting the amazing view of the ocean from it. Breakfast was really nice and with loads of options to offer ranging from western to Indian, thai, and even vegetarian. Well done to all the resort staff and I will definitely look forward again to visit Centara Grand!

Nothing to complain, everything was tip top from the place, their service right from the moment we reached , every staff was very polite and helpful very tip top. The food was amazing. We would definitely come back to this place. Even my kids love it so much. Thank you Centara and all the staff members for making our stay a pleasant one 🤗

Beach The beach was dirty not to be a daily earthling by the hotel. The deckchairs in the pool are moldy, they will ask you 2000 thb deposit by room and by night. The hotel is close to an uphill road which can be very noisy.

the hotel has two separate areas, one for the more pricier suites and one for the cheaper rooms. This means that if a family selects different room types for its members, they are actually staying in two separate hotels, which was really not fun given that we were on a family vacation. In fact, the cheaper hotels are not on the sea but on the other side of the road, and its pool area is not visually appealing or pampering.

Hotel is directly by the beach - it’s very positive. Cleanliness should be in higher level. But the friendly staff is amazing.

The location is good and is 10 minutes drive to the local town. Room is ok. The pool area is good. Overall, a good family hotel.

Overall the resort is excellent! Breakfast spread is good and a lot of variety. Location of the beach is at the quieter side, away from the crowds. But there is still a local thai place next to it if you don't want to eat in (for any reason). The only bad spot I had here was the service! We arrived very late at night and my husband was rushing out for dinner. So the front desk staff asked me to download the app, but failed to inform me that I need to get it scanned to get any services for the room. Fast forward to my third day, and my daughter insisted on room service. We tried to find a menu in the room for 15 mins (there were some qr codes there on hotel info, but nothing on room service). Next i called for room service from the phone, it connected me to a CALL CENTER. The person there tried to "transfer" me to room service when I explained that I could not find the menu on the app as she was guidng me. NOBODY picked up the line. I tried this 3-4x, and each time the call center just kept insisting to follow this process. Finally, i sent my husband and daughter to a resturant to explain the problem, and order there and just deliver the food. They refused, and while they said they would check, they were just left standing there until they came back. Finally,i was so angry that I went to front desk to complain, asked to speak to a MANAGER (as there were now 3 points of service failure). They finally called my room and send a normal waiter/person to apologize but he was only the person in charge of room service. Until I left, no manager came up to me to apoligize for so many issues and just leftit to each individual front staff, who were anyways resposible for these mistakes. NOT VERY GOOD SERVICE RECOVERY for a 4-5 star resort, which left me quite disappointed. I would still recommend the place, but don't expect too much help when things go wrong.

Love the vibes of this hotel. Second time staying here. The rooms are big n the view from the room is breathtaking… the pool the staff all 5star. Feel wellcomed here
