The hotel is worth more than its classification because the room is large and bright like the interior spaces. The breakfast is good and varied and the staff very attentive. Convenient free parking a few tens of meters away

The hotel is very good. Because the urban area of the Douro Valley is small, the hotel is located in the city center. There are parking spaces next to it, and parking is paid for, which is very cheap. The hotel is also more hygienic and the service attitude is also good. The shower was not very good, but the hot water was hot.

Even though it is 2 stars, read a little more. Aged, with mediocre decor and no comfort. Friendly employees, but in need of professional training. Poor breakfast. It should be avoided for light sleepers, as it is next to a busy avenue from the early hours of the morning.

The location is excellent: a stone's throw from the station and the river embarkation. From the outside the building does not make a good impression but inside the hotel is clean and well maintained. Basic furnishings. Adequate price.

As mentioned in the evaluation at check-in, within 30 minutes of entering the room, we found out that there was a leak from the bathroom sink drain pipe that we had used. It wasn't a large amount of water gushing out, but a certain amount of water definitely flowed onto the floor every time we used it, and the floor soon became a puddle. There was no drain in the floor, so we mobilized the remaining bedding from the bed to wipe the floor and stop the water around the sink pillar. The next morning, we wrote a note in Spanish to the room maid instructing them to repair it or to leave it as it is if they couldn't do it right away. When we returned to our room that night, the water stop had been removed, so we thought it had been repaired, but we found out that it had not been fixed right away, which showed the poor skills and lack of motivation of the room maid and maintenance staff. Since it was no use saying anything to the hotel staff, we mobilized a total of four spare pillows and bed cushions to stop the water for one more night, and checked out the next morning without saying anything. The hotel did not provide any explanation or apology during or after our stay, and once again revealed the low level of the staff. "Peso da Régua" is a famous wine tourism base, so there are many tourists and many hotels, so it would be better to choose another hotel. By the way, the free breakfast was so bad that I thought they could have put a little more effort into it, even though it was free. If there had not been a water leak and the terrible response to it by chance, I think my rating would have been different.

Good location. It's in the city center. The room was clean and the offer/price ratio was perfectly acceptable. Good breakfast. I just don't give it a better score for the suggestions they gave us for places to eat. They must update themselves as the suggestions given were a real failure. Overall I recommend it, but for those who only need 1 or 2 nights.
