What can I say , wonderful , staff were curtious, friendly, and so helpful. So clean , This was a 60th birthday treat for my boyfriend. He was so over the moon. With everything. The cottages were incredible. Hot tubs were the iceing on the cake. A memory to cherish. Highly recommended.

Extremely disappointed with our stay, bed are Extremely uncomfortable, we had two rooms decor in rooms are poor, food is cold bland not as advertised on the menu, I ordered smashed Avacado on toasted ciabatta, I was shocked to receive cold guacamole on a raw (untoasted) ciabatta, husband had full English which was cold, bacon and sausages uncooked and third breakfast was pancakes with crispy bacon which was also uncooked. The evening meal was also very bland steak and ale pie was dry and fish and chips awful, perhaps warming the plates would be an idea as the food goes cold very quickly.This was our 2nd and last stay very disappointing. Would not recommended this hotel.

Went to a fireworks display here. Paid VIP for a meal in a private fire pit area to watch the fireworks. The area we were sat in was directly behind a very large tree so we couldn’t see the fireworks. Raised a complaint and staff uninterested and unhelpful. Wouldn’t go again

I try this place every few years hoping for something decent, and every time so far I have come away disappointed. The service was pleasant, the beer was OK, but most of our food was pretty tasteless. The soup was supposed to be leek and potato but I couldn't detect much flavour, same with my wife's arancini. Shame because the menu sounded quite interesting.

I was looking for somewhere to hold a business meeting and The Angel Hotel was recommended. The information given when I first enquired was great and a suitable room was booked for the meeting. I appreciated the call received the day before to confirm our requirements. We received a warm welcome on arrival and the room was perfect. Coffees and the light lunch were lovely and the staff most helpful and efficient. (loved the staff uniform) I would certainly recommend this hotel for meetings and refreshments.

It was our Golden Wedding Anniversary and on arrival the room and staff were very pleasant. The room was quite chilly given the damp weather. The bed was uncomfortable with springs being felt through the sheets (very lumpy!) We had booked dinner after spending the with family. It would have been nice to some recognition of our milestone celebration. No special table, just as if we turned for dinner on any occasion! On complaining about the issues I was told that the manager was on annual leave and wouldn’t be able to deal with my complaint! Eventually Paul did speak to me regarding my concerns, to be told he had not had any complaints regarding the bed. This is not a Four star hotel and is extremely expensive for what you get!

We found this hotel to be excellent, and cannot agree with some of the other comments on here. The bed in our room (Bredon) was very comfortable, the food in the bar restaurant was excellent and the waiting staff attentive and caring. Food was served in a timely manner, not rushed or slow. Breakfast (full English for us) was also excellent and served by friendly caring staff. The hotel restaurant and bar areas were consistently busy and bustling with local people enjoying breakfast, coffee, lunch and dinner. I think this is a reflection of the quality of food and service and the buzz of the place. The arrangements for returning to the hotel late at night are very straight forward and explained to the guests (we were returning later from a wedding so this was relevant to us). We couldn't fault our stay and found the rooms comfortable, heated to the right level (for us), staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. I would stay here again.

Whilst the food in the restaurant was very good the serving staff generally lacked knowledge and experience. Issues covered not having detailed knowledge of the menu, serving wine in the wrong glasses, setting out breakfast before completing the dessert order and a general lack of keeness.

The mattress was really uncomfortable, you feel the springs through the sheets! Due to the inclement weather the hotel and room were not warm and welcoming. There were lots of staff, all very friendly. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary so wanted a couple nights to mark the occasion. We thought they might a special effort to help us celebrate, but sadly just wished a happy anniversary It was extremely expensive for the room considering the state of bathroom and bed!
