Just returned home from a great holiday at Papouis Hotel. The Hotel has had a great, modern refurb. Tina the Ops Manager went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. The Entertainment team were fun and my little boy (4 years) loved Libby in the kids club. Minindisco, big pool, fun activities and an all around great family hotel. International Hotel, which was a lovely mix. Hotel Manager was so welcoming. Great location. I would definitely book again. Thank you :)

Lovely modern clean Hotel with plenty of air conditioning around the hotel and accommodation rooms. Quality 3 star holiday hotel in a quiet area of Protaras, Cyprus. Staff were very friendly and helpful,across an array of information and help needed. We stayed all inclusive which had a varied food menu throughout our 11 days stay Entertainment was varied. Loved the music played throughout the outdoor complex. Our local Tui Rep a lovely lady called Sandi.Who is at the hotel most days,helped us with booking an array of different trips out and about every other day Which we throughly enjoyed.Donna on reception was like our family.Full of local knowledge of the area and any issues you came across on our stay. Slight downside,Unable to get a sundowner round the pool Due to other tourists placing towels and items all day from early morning.Thats with the hotel having a policy about the pool area. First time stay in Cyprus for myself and my partner,which we thoroughly enjoyed even with unprecedented heat temperatures for the month of 5th June till 16th June 2024.

hotel: recently renovated, modern, not too big, quiet, suitable for relaxation. all inclusive valid until departure. WiFi works perfectly everywhere. rooms: exactly as in the photos on offer. spacious, clean, cleaned every day. A comfortable bed with an appropriately hard mattress. Good pillows. Sockets with USB input by the bed. Sufficient balcony, soundproof windows. all inclusive: large selection of alcohol and drinks. bar open 10-24, close to the swimming pool and dining room. The food was good, a large selection of dishes (different lunch and dinner menus every day), but everything tasted delicate and bland. At least it didn't cause any stomach problems. Freshly squeezed orange juice with meals. Desserts average, repetitive, small selection of fruit (only bananas and apples). service: everyone was smiling, helpful, very polite. the animators were nice, they tried very hard, but they weren't intrusive. Great atmosphere. Pool: large, warm and clean, freshwater. 1.40 m deep is just right. Open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., but in reality until 7 p.m. Lots of sunbeds, no problem with reserving with towels in the morning. Pleasant spacious garden with grass and palm trees near the swimming pool. Neighborhood: quiet, still developing. nearby construction site, street to be completed or renovated. On the other side of the hotel, a renovated quarter, several shops, bars, and a road to the beach. There is a bus stop nearby, departures every 10-15 minutes, you can visit the entire coast. A bit far from the center of Protaras (boring walk in the middle of nowhere)

We were unsure about this hotel having read some or the really poor reviews however over the years have learnt to make our own mind up. Overall this hotel was a very good value for money holiday, the cheapest you will find in Cyprus. Recently refurbished the communal areas were gleaming, rooms were really nice, cleaners could maybe pay attention to corners, balcony and under the bed. We were a party of all different ages and a 4 month old baby and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. You tube on the smart TV kept the baby entertained whilst we got ready in an evening. Pool was decent, with a kids area too, maybe take on board the comments about rails on the steps and around the children's pool. Really difficult to get a sunbed especially for a large party together but we shared. Work going on closely could've been shared with us earlier by tui however this didn't distrub us and could hardly be heard over the music and chatting at the hotel. Park and games room kept the kids entertained during the evening. Entertainment was ok, have seen better. Bob Marley tribute was the best night. Staff - reception staff and bar staff was great especially Hamza and the operations manager couldn't do enough for you. Food was as you would expect from an all inclusive, always managed to find something to eat. One place to eat but unless you choose a 5* hotel you aren't going to get a la carte food. Drinks menu was quite large, some 3*s I have been to you would have to pay extra for cocktails so was a nice surprise to have a good choice. Some frozen cocktails too which is great in 40 degree heat. Beer was one of the better ones I have had at an all inclusive and drinks were served in normal sized plastic glasses not tiny cups as seen elsewhere. Taxis are quite expensive but used them mostly for convenience, the one bus journey was took was fine and cheap. Some shops and bars a short walk away and protatas a longer walk or bus/taxi ride. Small gritty beach a short walk away was nice but further down is protaras beach and can also get to nissi beach in a short time. There is a shower room you can book on the day have going home but have to wait until the day and then the slot we wanted was booked, took a different slot and was happy to be able to shower before our journey home. Difficult with a baby as there aren't any baby change areas in the hotel and nowhere to hang clothes in the shower room but we improvised and got there in the end. In my opinion you get what you pay for and this is a smaller hotel with staff trying their best. At the right price I would definitely return in future.

Was there for one week staff were friendly enough food was reasonable we were all inclusive worst all inclusive drinks I have ever had would take you 3 days to get tipsy the hotel was very clean and you can see its been recently refurbished. The.pool is absolutely lethal I myself love a pool but was terrified to get out no metal steps to get in or out anywhere just steps under the water which are really slippy no hand rail even to walk in worst pool.i have ever been in . If your over a certain age don't try with the.pool I think.anybody of any age could have a bad accident in that .

This Hotel is spoiled by the lack off rules you got Men and Women in soaking swim suits going into restaurant for food to be taken out making the floor slippery even on a dinner time topless men and women in bikinis sitting by the table eating and nothing is said by the staff Smoking is allowed around pool which is horrible to an non smoker like us the full ashtrays are still there in the morning as are the empty or full glasses We seen one man with a child in pool with a cocktail in glass drinking these things should never be allowed There should be a designated area for smokers The staff are very friendly even if they do argue between themselves in restaurant the pool bar staff are also very friendly but yet again the manager tells them off in front of holiday makers The entertainment Man ( sorry didn’t get his name is lovely) We had a lovely room overlooking the pool (209) which was cleaned to a point every day but the maids need to pay attention to corners in shower which were not clean The drinks are great lovely cocktails and lager in large glasses Then it comes to the food which is a complete letdown cold most of the time had a piece of fish one day which was raw complained but the chef said nothing only took the fish away We ate out a lot of the time The beach is only a ten minute walk with lovely coves (follow the board walk) of which we went most days It’s a shame this Hotel is run properly because it have had a lovely refurbishment We still enjoyed our week but would never return

Where to start we arent fussy or snobby but i'll be as honest as I can, we arrived late to the hotel which was immaculate clean looked brand new,rooms were nice clean smelt fresh and water etc left out and few sandwiches and fruit for us.We got up the first morning and I thought it was just banta with the bar staff but to which I later dsicovered the big crack across the head from the manager to a member of staff maybe wasnt,my husband and son were almost last to eat that night (845pm) the chef/staff started a massive fight throwing punches eith other staff member people trying to break them up my 9 year old was so upset (woman waiter told them to take their food outside) my husband had to go to reception to tell them and he ran straight down to the kitchen,4 days to get a lounger(towel hoggers),bar staff served women/girls first (also made rude comment about ***** with a woman they reckoned could 'get with' ignored kids,food burnt,repatative&made into other meals later on,cold fried eggs,kids chips nuggets,fish fingers burnt,snack time same burnt+pizza&burgers,hairs found in the dishes staff just took plate away,we asked for flight home 2 days in which were declined,spoke to other familys couples there said dont be put off cyprus its just bad hotel Im shocked tui offer it.

Think the bar staff are lovely but I think the people who work with the food are very very rude! I had fount hairs in my food and I told someone and they didn’t seem to care but took the plate and walked off ! Told us the drink machine wasn’t working in the restaurant but it was turned off and was very annoyed when I turned the machine on knowing I wanted a cold drink or a fresh orange! I paid all inclusive to not be able to use the drinks in the bar, got to the hotel late the other night after a long day at the water park and only had 10 minutes to eat food and was still in swim wear and got told off for not wearing the right dress code ! It’s a hotel with a pool you are on a holiday and it is 45 degrees heat even in the evening it gets hot and there telling you to put clothes on, against human rights! Went to get dinner after getting out of the swimming pool and got told off by one of the people in there when I was wrapped with a towel and told them I was going outside to eat and they would not listen but give attitude! The food is so so dry and the meat is pink! Heard from a lot of people it’s been making them feel sick aswell as myself! You pay for all inclusive for the same foods that are undercooked! Hardly any suggestions on food and very rude miserable staff, my first day was so lovely I even put such a nice review but now knowing this place better I have never wished but to go back home. Had to rush food as they continued to complain to me and my partner that they needed to shut the restaurant! This has honestly made my experience with this hotel so bad and poor! But even at night time at 2:30 I can hear loud music the bar shuts early and can’t get a drink after 12! The pool even shuts at 6 in the evening! When it’s still light outside! DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL! I WISH I NEVER BOOKED THIS HOTEL! Photos on this hotel are a complete lie not a nice place to sleep or eat OR TO EVEN GET A DRINK AS THEY SAY THE MACHINE IS BROKE BUT ALL A SUDDEN WORKING A HOUR LATER WHEN ITS DINNER TIME! Do not book Please take my advice and I hope this helped!

Had a great week at this hotel. Very good location, close to Irish bar and a few other bars restaurants and either a 30 min walk into protarus (along the beach so a lovely walk) or a few mins in a taxi. A 5 minute walk to the beach. Hotel was spotless cleaners about all the time. Room cleaned every day. Room was fab. Bed very comfy. Walk in shower was great. Bedside lights and a little neon light you can put on for a cosy glow in the room. Can log into Netflix if have password or watch you tube on smart tv. Fridge in room. All the staff were super friendly. Bar staff were great and Hamzat (maybe spelt wrong?) in particular was such a nice guy always had a big smile. Food was nice, always something to eat, fresh bread, nice salads, no queues. It did get a bit repetitive but unless you are at a 5 star think that always happens when all inclusive. We done a mix of eating at hotel and eating out so didn’t mind it was a bit repetitive. For the price we paid and given this is a 3 star we both thought it was great and value for money. Will definitely be back 😊
