The Leicester Arms Country Inn

Perfect countryside stay at a stylish boutique hotel. The room/bathroom was beautiful with high end furnishings. Great British menu choice. Enjoyed dinner on Saturday evening & Sunday lunch. Penshurst Place is definitely worth a visit

This is a lovely hotel. Good parking, fantastic food, friendly staff and top quality rooms. We stayed when an offer ion rooms and food was available so excellent value for money. The location is quiet, but lots to see and do in the surrounding area. Highly recommended. We will be back

Great Steak Night ! 7 of us sat down for a great 3 course dinner. The menu was excellent and the food was delivered with great service. Delicious all round was the consensus of opinion. My Venison Pie was out of this world. Wine chosen paired with the food well. All parties enjoyed the evening immensely.

Outstanding last minute experience: Getaway just before Christmas to recalibrate! Atmosphere, food (beautifully prepared and passion on a plate), team (so accommodating), drinks (winter Aperol Spritz) and room quality (luxurious). The loveliest staff, incredibly beautiful rooms and the beds are very comfy. The place is spotless and the food and drink is delicious. There's lots to do nearby we had long walks, saw Penshurst castle and gardens and enjoyed the gorgeous views

Our family group stayed here for a wedding, taking all the rooms for 2 nights & having dinner on 1 of them. It was superb: - the staff’s attitudes were terrific (at a time when good staff can be so hard to find) and nothing was too much trouble; - the rooms are beautifully & elegantly furnished (we were in Golding, which was large, comfortable and at the back of the building. An extractor fan operated 24/7 not far outside, so ask for a room elsewhere if that might bother you but it wasn’t a problem for us); - the bar and dining area are similarly decorated in a comfortable country Inn style; - the food was excellent, good ingredients, skilfully cooked and well presented; - the wine list, beers (including the outstanding Harvey’s Best) and gin selection was extensive; - the little village is lovely, as is the countryside around Penshurst. All in all, from cleaners to owners, everyone was friendly, polite and helpful and clearly cared about the Leicester Arms. A wonderful weekend.
