We are profoundly disappointed in the way Oyster Bay Boutique Hotel managed our wedding booking. Despite multiple assurances that a contract was forthcoming, none was ever provided—despite our repeated and proactive follow-ups. This lack of follow-through ultimately resulted in a double booking, with our weekend being handed over to another couple who had secured dates surrounding ours. Even more troubling, when we expressed a willingness to match the other couple’s financial contribution, the hotel appeared to entertain the idea of reversing course—further underscoring a lack of integrity and commitment to prior discussions. It’s deeply disheartening that a venue entrusted with such a pivotal and emotional milestone would operate with such a transactional mindset. This experience reflects a troubling absence of professionalism, clear communication, and ethical consistency. For an industry that should be built on trust and thoughtful service, this was anything but. I cannot in good conscience recommend this venue to any couple seeking a reliable and respectful partner for their wedding.
