We had a lovely stay! Despite having a bit of trouble finding the place, having to wend our way (with luggage) up the windy paths and stairs--we're senior citizens & we managed--frankly I wouldn't have wanted to attempt to drive those "roads." It's inside the walls of a medieval village set high on a cliff, like many old villages in Spain. You can't always drive up to the door of your accommodation. Make a small concession and you'll be rewarded with a beautiful room, amazingly quiet, the best bed of our whole trip. Also the best breakfast! Lovely hosts.

We had a perfect stay at Dios Está Bien. From the very first moment we were made to feel that we were at home. The location was perfect - in the heart of the old town and steps away from the castle. The rooftop terrace provided excellent views and unlimited relaxation. Our room was very clean and perfectly comfortable. We also had a small balcony that overlooked the beautiful street, which had a line to dry clothes. Couldn’t have asked for more. There are many good restaurants in the old town, but the food was Dios Está Bien was the best! The breakfast was fantastic and the homemade bread is a must-try. The dinner options were varied and delicious. Every meal was made with love and you could taste it. Last, but not least, the service was perfect. Every person we interacted with was dedicated to making sure we were comfortable and having a great time. Overall, highly recommended and we can’t wait to return!

We stopped for one night in Peniscola as we travelled back home to France after a week with family in Los Altos, Oriheula. Hostel Dios Esta Bien is an excellent B&B situated inside the castle walls with panoramic views from the rooftop area. Xavier & Miia were super friendly and welcoming hosts during our short stay and our room had everything you need plus the bed was amazingly comfy. We will definitely return to Dios Esta Bien for longer next time to enjoy the atmosphere of all the small shops, bars & restaurants in the tight cobbled streets. Tip.. car excess is limited in the old town area so travel light as its a bit of a climb to get up to it. But when you get there the views are AMAZING!!!

Stayed one night on way from Seville to Collioure, France. Hotel is quaint, owners are very nice. Location is amazing and one of a kind, in the old part of Peniscola, at the base of the castle. Views are spectacular both up and down the coast. Hotel room was very good size. Towels were too old and crunchy. Mattress was very old and soft so had a sore back the next day. Note: You CANNOT drive to the hotel due to the location. You must park at the base of the old town, pack an overnight bag and walk straight up ten minutes to the old town. I wish I knew this ahead of time. Pulling a full size suitcase up this steep hill is possible if you are under 25, but else, a night bag or carry on suitcase is all one can manage.

Very cute place to stay. Service amazing and food too. Very close to castle. Be prepared and only bring a small bag as it’s a bit of a walk up to. Owners were extremely helpful. Really nice to be in the old town

Excelente trato y profesionalidad. Local a pie de una de las calles del casco antiguo de Peñíscola. Cocina muy correcta a unos precios €. Local limpio y con un equipo familiar y cercano. Muy recomendable Ensaladas muy completas, hamburguesas bien elaboradas y postres caseros. Un experiencia para repetir. Volveremos
