Uga Bay - Pasikuda

A very good hotel. Directly on the beach. It has its own protection. Food a bit monotonous, served to the tables by friendly staff. Very loud air conditioning broke the impression, but despite attempts to repair it was still loud. Prices are very high for Sri Lankan conditions.

A beautifully situated resort on the beach at Uga Bay. No Campari for a Negroni but I will have plenty of those somewhere else. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and genuinely smiling. Special stand outs are Sanjay at the Beach Bar and Sanuji in the main bar who just instinctively know what perfect service is (not intrusive but there when you want them). The sea is blue and the view from the pool lovely, what else can I say.

It was a really good choice and we are happy to have selected to stay in the resort! We are delighted with the personal attention and focus on providing pleasure and comfort in every situation. Beautiful resort, excellent food, extremely warm and wonderful employees who helped us in every case. We recommend it to everyone who appreciates peace and quiet. We can’t praise Uga Bay highly enough! From the moment of arrival to the point of leaving, we were treated with such kindness. The hotel and grounds are breathtaking. The Staff were superb and couldn’t do enough for us. The room (a beachside studio) was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. The food was amazing, catering for all tastes.. traditional Srilankan as well as alternative options. The beachside bar provided some delicious cocktails, beer, juices as well as a good range of tasty snacks. A special shout out to Nishanka who went out of his way to provide an exceptional service! The beach is stunning and the sea clear and shallow. We would return at the drop of a hat! Thanks to all!

Fantastic hotel, the rooms were amazing very comfortable. The pool was lovely and the location on the beach beautiful. The staff were so friendly and food was really tasty. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

It also has a beach where you can swim at any time of the day and a well-maintained small library. The quality of food is also very high. Fishing trips are also organized for those who need it. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are well maintained.

Where to begin! We booked Uga Bay as an end of honeymoon retreat after traveling around other areas of Sri Lanka. It didn't disappoint and the pictures don't do it justice! The east coast is different to any of the other areas we visited (it's very hot with white sandy beaches and a beautiful warm sea!) The hotel facilities were faultless, the bar is very well stocked and the rooms are very spacious and extremely clean! We were lucky enough to have a beach front room! There's a beautiful pool and a beach bar! The restaurant and food selection and quality was probably the most notable part of our stay (we're both foodies!) The staff in the restaurant and bars were amazing and nothing was too much for them - They really made the whole stay extra special! We'd like to especially mention Dasun and Nimali on the front desk - Both were very attentive and Dasun in particular organised us the most amazing sunset cruise (through Sail Lanka). Also Nishanka on the beach bar went above and beyond to look after us during our stay - He also served us our "Moonlight Beach Dining" experience which we booked for the Friday night! (We highly recommend this - The seafood was incredible (pictured)! Our final thank you goes to the amazing Chef Liyanage who worked the restaurants live cooking stations during our stay - He was the friendliest and always had a smile on his face! We always looked forward to seeing him at breakfast and dinner! ☺️ Our one and only complaint about our stay was on the Saturday night (our last night) there appeared to be a surprise visit from a big boss who was throwing his weight around and picking fault at every opportunity - this resulted in the absolutely wonderful staff being on edge wondering where the next telling off was coming from! We couldn't fault the staff, the food, the cleanliness or the overall service and whilst we appreciate the need in a 5* hotel to keep standards high there's a way in which to do it - Not in front of your guests! Overall, an absolutely fantastic stay and would highly recommend Uga Bay!

Great beach and pool, nice stretch of beach for walks. gym, water sports activities nearby, good food both for breakfast and dinner, dinner in the sand was unforgettable, spacious rooms and well equipped, friendly staff Nurit Steinberg, Israel
