Ulasan Amaya Beach Passikudah

Fantastic location.  The swimmable beach is 100m to left of the hotel.  Very quiet and peaceful.  Beach has shade  so you are not in the sun 100%. Good staff interaction.  Rooms are big, most have some sea view.   Food is on par for Sri Lanka, primarily local cuisine, a bit pricey for the quality though. Overall, recommended.

We had a great experience at this hotel. Nice service, location and cleanness. A little boring breakfast, but the a la carte was good.

Mooie hotel met mooie kamers. Eten kan beter en smaakvoller. Zwembad is te ondiep en erg warm. Zandzakken aan het strand was geen mooi gezicht.

Amaya beach is a hotel in a stunning location. The beach is calm and safe for kids to explore, and we enjoyed hours every day swimming to find new fish amongst the coral. The beachfront pool is perfect but did get crowded over the weekend days of our stay. The rooms are modern, large with all necessary amenities. The food was delicious and varied in option each of the days of our stay. Thank you to the lady for the delicious dosa and vadai every morning that we all kept going back for We look forward to coming back again!

Beautiful location. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Very friendly staff -willing to go above and beyond. Management is responsive to feedback and quick to rectify if any concerns. Staff who went above and beyond: Reynold, Gajandran, Sangeethan, Lojan, Lojanan and Suthagaran. We love the beach and will come back again.

Beautiful location. Clean and well kept facilities. Nice architectural building. Clean and warm water pool. More importantly, a fantastic view and access to beach. Very friendly and courteous staff across the hotel, particularly the front office and restaurant staff who made us feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you guys.

Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We selected a birthday and an anniversary. The staff organized it so well. Mr Suji the F&B manager was so supportive as well as the staff. Well definitely visit again.The room are super clean. This is common in Amaya hotels

We had a lovely time at Amaya Beach! The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with high-quality amenities that made our stay very comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind and even upgraded two of our rooms, which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The buffet had a decent selection—while not the most extensive, the quality of the food was good, and we had no complaints. The staff also went out of their way to arrange infant facilities for us, which made traveling with little ones much easier. Overall, it was a great experience—comfortable, clean, and with excellent service. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing beach getaway!

The location of the hotel was a piece of paradise! Situated on the white sandy beach, it is the perfect location to relax, swim and enjoy the views. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and very clean but the most memorable part of our stay was the amazing staff. We were welcomed by Sheronicka who made us feel comfortable immediately. Then day after day for breakfast and dinner, the restaurant staff were incredible. Always smiling, asking us about our days and really helpful and polite. All the staff were fantastic but Shalika really went above and beyond to make our stay great. The food on offer each day was 10/10. A huge array of different types of food and all executed to the highest level. I would come back just for the food! Thank you for the most amazing few days, it’s a place we won’t forget and will hope to return to in the future.

Very spacious resort with a good pool, beautiful beach and an amazing spa. We stayed there for two days and had a very relaxing time. The beach is pretty, but beware that it's not ideal for swimming as there are rocks in the water. We tried to go into the water twice but multiple people in our group got scratches, so we opted for the pool afterwards. Apparently, it's better to walk a few meters to the side, but unfortunately we were not aware of this until we left (maybe share that info at check-in??) The spa was excellent. We got an aromatherapy and balinese massage and were happy with both. Service was great, polite and relaxing. Prices are cheap for European standards, but high for Asia (42 Euros for 90 min in March 2025). Drinks and food were good. There is an open buffet for dinner and breakfast with the typical Sri Lankan and western food options. The desserts weren't my favorite, but everyone's taste is different. Hotel staff were attentive and our room boy even made a towel "mommy" for the plush elephant we had with us ;)
