I stayed at Hotel Schloss Ort prior to a cruise in the winter. It was a gorgeous hotel! So beautiful to stay in and with friendly staff. There isn't much space for a car, which was not an issue for me. The view was absolutely stunning. I did have breakfast at the hotel, which was an additional cost. It was mainly cold cuts, bread rolls, eggs, cereal, yoghurt, and cheeses. It was convenient as other restaurants were about a 20-minute walk away. There was a nice steakhouse nearby and a pizza shop not too far away. It does have an elevator as well, which was helpful for the luggage. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The only improvement would be a kettle in the room, but I believe tea and coffee could be had downstairs in the dining room.

We highly recommend this hotel. Originally, we had a reservation with a different hotel in old town Passau, but there was an issue we had between the booking platform and the property, so we were in need of a new place to stay. It was nearly 9pm and we wandered into the Hotel Schloss Ort to see if they had any rooms available. They only had suites left and they offered us one at a very reasonable rate. They could have taken complete advantage of us since it was late and we did not have a room for the night, but they did not. Our suite had lovely views of the river, a spacious bedroom and living area and a spacious bathroom. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel for a few hours after check-out to wander around old town Passau and they called a local taxi company for us when we were ready to leave. The hotel is lovely and in an excellent location and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Fine old building in a basically car-free area of Passau’s Altstadt. Easy parking and a short walk into the city centre. Quiet position but there’s no air conditioning or fans - it can be ferociously hot if you’re on the sunny side of the building in summer. Unlike Germany usually, they don’t include breakfast in the room price.

Absolutely fantastic hotel in a great location! A small, 18 room, hotel with great views and a terrific staff. We booked a junior suite with a river view and couldn’t be happier. It was spacious and had everything you need plus the best view!! Very scenic! We loved our stay here!!

We had a lovely stay in this nicely updated old building. This hotel is in a great hidden away location on the tip of the peninsula. The staff were super friendly and proactively helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel for families and couples alike!

Excellent Old Town location. Comfy bed, quality linens, excellent buffet breakfast. Great value. Despite the fact that management was contending with the imminent threat of the Danube flooding the property, reception staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, safe, and comfortable.

The Schloss Ort was booked for a pre-cruise departure stay. It was one of the last available hotels, but not our first choice. I am pleased that we didn't get our first choice because the Ort was fantastic! The room was like an apartment it was so spacious, a large bedroom with a separate sitting area, and wonderful views around the hotel. The bedding was great and the bathroom was well appointed. Another treat was the breakfast, a very nice, fresh selection, and very well-staffed. Do not pass up this hotel!

Das wunderschöne Hotel liegt sehr zentral direkt am Inn in völliger Ruhe. Alles ist fussläufig zu erreichen. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig, das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind hübsch eingerichtet und sehr sauber. 100% Weiterempfehlung

Gefällt mir sehr gut! Bin mittlerweile Dauergast! Sehr herzlich! Ruhige Lage mit direktem Blick zum Inn an der Passauer Ortsspitze. Nehme auch regelmäßig Gäste mit. Ist kein Hotel „von der Stange“ sondern ein Schloss mit viel Persönlichkeit u Individualität. LG
