I was very disappointed with my stay. There was a strong and unpleasant smell of sewage in the rooms, which could also be detected from the hallway, even 10 meters away. I was on the 5th floor, and despite the hotel’s reputation, this was not what I expected. Additionally, loud music from a nearby bar or restaurant continued until midnight, making it very difficult to sleep. I had to keep the window open due to the smell, and so did my colleague in the neighboring room — but with nighttime temperatures around 8–9°C, the room was uncomfortably cold. Overall, the experience fell far below expectations for a hotel with such a good name.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Elite World Grand Hotel, conveniently located on Basin Ekspres in Istanbul, and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment of arrival, the warm and professional demeanor of the staff was notable, catering to every need and making guests feel genuinely welcomed. The rooms are a true highlight, exhibiting a harmonious blend of luxury and comfort, with plush bedding, state-of-the-art amenities, and breathtaking views of the vibrant city of Istanbul. The attention to detail was evident, reflecting a high standard of cleanliness and a keen eye for aesthetic elegance. The culinary offerings at the hotel are exceptional. Each dish I tried was a dance of flavors, paying homage to the rich culinary heritage of Turkey while also offering a variety of international cuisines to suit every palate. The dining atmosphere was equally commendable, providing a pleasant backdrop to every meal. The hotel’s location is highly advantageous, offering easy access to a myriad of Istanbul’s attractions, shopping destinations, and dining options. Whether one is in the city for business or pleasure, the Elite World Grand Hotel’s location ensures convenience. Furthermore, the range of facilities, including a well-equipped fitness center and a serene spa, added an extra layer of indulgence to the stay, allowing guests to unwind and rejuvenate effectively. I extend my sincere compliments to the entire team at Elite World Grand Hotel, Basin Ekspres, Istanbul, for making my stay memorable. The unwavering dedication to service excellence and the superior quality of facilities make this hotel a distinguished choice for any traveler seeking a blend of luxury, comfort, and authentic Turkish hospitality.

Our stay at the Continental Hotel in Bucharest was mostly pleasant and comfortable. The hotel itself is well-maintained, offering a great ambiance and excellent amenities. The food served at the restaurant was delicious, and the restaurant staff were warm, accommodating, and attentive to our needs. However, our experience at check-in left something to be desired. The female front desk staff member we interacted with was not particularly helpful. When we asked if the tap water was safe to drink, her response was dismissive, stating she didn’t know and suggesting we purchase water from the hotel instead. Similarly, when we inquired about the possibility of an early breakfast due to our early departure for a day trip to Peles Castle, she was uncooperative and rigid, insisting breakfast was strictly served at 6:30 AM. Thankfully, the restaurant staff went above and beyond. When we arrived at 6:15 AM, they graciously opened the doors early and welcomed us, allowing us to grab some food before we left. Their professionalism and kindness turned around what could have been a frustrating situation.

I cannot fault this hotel. So perfectly situated without being noisy, lovely staff, fantastic and varied breakfast (with excellent coffee), a well appointed gym, spotless and spacious. Thank you for making a solo female traveller happy, well fed and safe.
