I'm a bit mixed about my stay, I stayed in the cheapest dorm, the air was very humid inside, this happens in tropical places but this one was extreme bad inside the room, the showers and bathrooms are clean, the staff was super friendly, the restaurant really need more options for food, really small choice, yet the breakfast has many good options, my room was bad because of the air inside but I did check other parts of Selina like the bungalo's and they looked great, if you decide to stay in Selina here, dont go for the cheapest option is what I would recommend. The location is great, walking distance of old city center (which is super lovely) and walking distance to the beach. I'll upload some pictures of the place where you should stay when you sleep in Selina! MY REVIEW OF THE ROOM IS NOT BASED ON THE PICTURES! Mine was the cheapest dorm but if i stayed there in the pictures my stay would have been perfect!

Otimo é lindo as instalações bem personalizadas, infelizmente o café da manha é um grande problema equipe mal preparada chega a ser desesperador aguardar para ser atendido. Espero que melhorem pois um hotel desse porte nao pode ter um café desse jeito.

We booked a few days at the Selina in Paraty, having stayed at the São Paulo Selina just before. We had an amazing stay in Paraty and ended up extending a few more days - we actually still weren’t ready to leave at that point! Staff are very welcoming and Leo went over and above to make us feel welcome and answer any/all questions we had! Communal areas are great for meeting people in a relaxed setting and there’s loads of space to work, with good WiFi. We stayed in the loft and couldn’t have asked for anything more, perhaps less rain but even with less than ideal weather we still had a great time! Would recommend for those looking for a chilled out break in a beautiful setting.

Unfortunately I had an incident with a British guest, who was staying in my room and got angry because I was snoring. He woke up during the night and hit me with a slap on my leg while I was sleeping. Of course, I got afraid and scared so I couldn't close my eyes for the next couple hours. I reported the experience for the front desk but unfortunately I had to leave before I planned, because staying in the same room was not an option.

The room was full of mold and smelled bad. It wasn’t clean. Breakfast and service was nice but they need to do something about the rooms and invest in their maintenance. It made us not want to be there.

Really bad service! They left us sitting at reception for 1.5 hours- our room was only ready at 4:30pm Room was dirty(sheets with blood stains) seemed to be some kind of insect(tons of bugs in the room)… at the breakfast we specifically asked the day before if they would have the vegan breakfast available and they assured us they would… next morning not vegan breakfast The aircon only goes off or on so during the night you’re either freezing or boiling and have to keep waking up to flip the switch
