Sandi Hotel

We loved the Sandi Hotel! Beautiful setting, great breakfast, smiley, friendly and helpful staff, excellent rooms. They also provide money-off vouchers for various things like massages and ice creams near the hotel. Our stay was perfect, we just wished we had booked to stay longer. There are even cute little monkeys that come into the garden. Highly recommended if you are planning a stay in Paraty.

Worst experiencie ever. We got the “best” room for the family and the acustic is terrible it seems the entire street is inside your room. What would you expect from what is called one of the best hotels in the city? To have a pleasure night of sleep and rest. Who likes to go to a good hotel and do not sleep? If you are looking for, not good, but minimum decent night of sleep this is the WORST called good hotel ever !!!

This hotel has the perfect blend of historic charm and luxury! The rooms are delightful - super comfortable and perfectly decorated. The restaurant is excellent, and the service is exceptional. The location is the perfect spot from which to explore the lovely historic center. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Paraty!

Located in the middle of the Old Town in Paraty, Sandi was a real surprise. Extremely well equipped hotel, with multiple pools, spas, lovely landscaped gardens, friendly staff, it’s spread over an entire block in the middle of town. The bed and room were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms were modern and very functional. We were offered a free ice cream and a drink as part of our check in and the hotel breakfast was fresh, tasty and convenient. The staff were cheerful and friendly and helped us find information on tours etc we could do during our stay. Being centrally located, the “markets” that spring up nightly are right on the doorstep of the hotel creating a very vibrant experience, the hotel is also surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops, so there is plenty to look at and do during your stay.

This hotel was wonderful, the service was fantastic for the most part. I say for the most part because I had to wait over 30 minute for a few bottles of water and needed to call twice. Also they don't really know much about technology...I figured out the TV myself and the A/C had a timer set to go off in the middle of the night, I called downstairs, no one came so I figured it out for myself. For a luxury property it would have been nice to have a makeup mirror in the bathroom and a box of tissues ( I bought my own box). One last critic would have been great to have the serve of someone to iron your clothes . We also needed adaptors so we could use our electronics (and my friend with me was from Rio, but still needed one as there was no way to plug in your cell phone charger). One more HUGE thing, the floor in the shower is a bit slippery and there is no handrail, nothing to grab onto, a bit dangerous, no matter what your age and I would have like brighter lightbulbs in the bathroom. On a Positive note (and there were many) Room was clean and bed huge and comfy and quiet at night for sleeping. Double sinks in the bathroom a plus. Everyone was super friendly and breakfast was fantastic. Pool and gardens were lovely, lush and tropical. The ice cream shop Miracolo was a dream, we went for ice cream every afternoon, not to be missed. And the restaurant Pupus was truly exceptional, the service was 5 stars and the food was prenominal. All in all we had a wonderful weekend.

The hotel grounds are really beautiful, they’re historic and well maintained. Location is great and the room we had was quiet, had loads of character and was well kept. Our stay was made all the much better by the amazing staff, and we would like to acknowledge the service of your waiter Marcus (I hope we got the name correct!). He was attentive, polite, knowledgeable and no task was too big or challenging for him. He made our stay go from great to perfect!
