My stay at Greenheart Boutique Hotel was deeply disappointing. While the staff were polite and welcoming, the condition of the hotel was appalling and far below expectations. Breakfast Experience: The breakfast was basic and uninspired. Disturbingly, the cloth covering the bread had visible fungus, and the eating area where the food was displayed was littered with dead insects. The walls beneath the shelves and tables in the dining area were covered in mold and fungus, further highlighting the lack of cleanliness. Pool Condition: The pool was utterly unsanitary, with dirty water and broken tiles lifting up, covered in moss and fungus. The wooden edges around the pool were rotting, making it unsafe and highly unappealing. Room Accommodations: The bedrooms are cramped and lack essential amenities such as a TV, fridge, microwave, and iron. The bathroom is incredibly small, with no curtain to contain water, resulting in the entire area being soaked after every use. This constant dampness caused a musty, unpleasant odor, and the wooden sink stand was covered in fungus. General Cleanliness and Maintenance: The flooring moldings in the rooms are rotting, and the bed was uncomfortably hard. The breakfast tablecloths were stained, and the walls under the shelves and tables were visibly covered in mold and fungus. The hotel’s lack of proper upkeep was evident in every corner. False Advertising: The online pictures are extremely misleading and do not represent the actual condition of the property. The reality is far from the clean, modern, and inviting images advertised. Refund Policy: Adding to the frustration, the hotel has a strict no-refund policy for early checkouts, trapping guests who are unhappy with their stay. Final Thoughts: Greenheart Boutique Hotel is unsanitary, poorly maintained, and overpriced. I strongly recommend avoiding this property, as it fails to deliver even the most basic standards of cleanliness and comfort. This was, without a doubt, a regrettable experience.

I stayed one week in this beautiful hotel. The hotel is situated in the centre of Parimaribo on a very quiet place. The team is very dedicated, friendly and helpful. Everyday it was a pleasure to come home and have a little rest on one of the balconies. The atmosphere in the hotel is very quiet. The building is an unique example of woodcraft.

Front desk went above and beyond. This was the first in 45 countries where there was no ATM or change machine in the airport on arrival. And our first day there was a national holiday so the banks and places to change money were closed. Hotels take credit cards in Suriname but almost no restaurants do. The front desk found us a Chinese restaurant that took US dollars so we were able to eat dinner until we could change money. Each room had different birds and wildlife painted inside. Furniture was unique. Bed was comfortable. Ensuite bathroom with shower. Breakfast was included and there were fresh fruits and juices in addition to eggs and cereal options. We were there a week but a few of the nights our excursion took us far enough out of town that we didn't stay at the hotel. We knew they would hold our bags for us while we did the excursions. But it ended up they were able to let us even leave it in our locked hotel room. Very convenient. They don't change money at the front desk, there's no ATM within a few blocks and other than the breakfast area, there's no restaurant in the hotel. There a few places to get coffee a little further down the block. Restaurants such as Naskip for chicken and Padre Nostro for pizza and gelato within walking distance. On our wedding anniversary our breakfast server learned that fact and went in to the kitchen for two pieces of banana cake and played on the speakers a romantic song. Air conditioning in the guest room but not any other areas of the hotel.
