Boardwalk Beach Hotel

Room was good. A little dated but with as much as we were in the room, it didnt really matter. The bathroom could use an upgrade though. Everyone that we came in contact with were very friendly.

The first night there the pool was left unlocked and some people had a party and kept us awake. The bathroom was extremely small but other than that it was a very good stay.

Good location, friendly and informative staff, cleanish rooms.

Front desk staff seemed lost waited over 20 min for 1 couple in front of us.they said they would call us when room was ready they never did.we went back 4 hrs later and they said yea it was ready and they directed us to the corner of the building we went there and there was no rooms here it ended up being a completely different building I would not recommend

Extremely Unsafe and Deeply Disappointing Stay Would Not Recommend My friends and I recently stayed at Boardwalk Beach Resort in Panama City Beach, FL, and I feel obligated to share our experience to warn future guests. What was meant to be a fun, last minute getaway turned into a deeply unsettling and unsafe stay. We arrived at 1:52 AM on July 12, 2025, and immediately encountered a terrifying situation at the entrance. The guard shack appeared empty, then suddenly a light flipped on, and without warning, a security guard stepped directly in front of our moving car from behind the shack. He was previously sitting 20 feet away by a parked vehicle and attempted to stop us by flashing a small light completely invisible until it was nearly too late. I had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting him. This was incredibly dangerous and avoidable had proper safety procedures been in place. We were told to park in an overflow lot roughly half a mile away an understandable policy, but it posed another issue in the dark. While walking back to the resort, my friend tripped over cracked, poorly lit pavement and suffered injuries to her knee and wrist. When we requested a first aid kit at the front desk, we were handed three Band-Aids, a few burn cream packets, and a crumpled CPR mask absolutely nothing suitable for cleaning or dressing actual wounds. No antiseptic, no gauze, and no concern from staff. We ended up treating her injuries ourselves in a public restroom. Staff watched blood drip onto the lobby floor and did nothing not even offer help. Their response: “It didn’t happen on our property,” as it was on the sidewalk leading to the hotel. To make it worse, when we asked to file an incident report, we were told they only document employee injuries. No manager followed up, despite being promised one would. The problems didn’t stop there. Our room was not what we booked we reserved two queen beds but received two full size beds. The dresser was broken, the shower lacked basic toiletries, and the toilet was leaking from a cracked ring, leaving a puddle on the floor another safety hazard. When we requested more towels, we received no response and had to go down to the front desk ourselves. The final straw? The hotel pool one of the resort’s main attractions was closed due to a serious electrical hazard involving a fallen light with exposed wires in the water. We were told it would not be fixed that weekend, with no alternative or compensation offered. For $200 per night, we expected a safe and enjoyable experience. Instead, we encountered serious safety hazards, medical neglect, poor accommodations, and shockingly apathetic customer service. This wasn’t just disappointing it was unacceptable. I sincerely hope the management takes these concerns seriously and makes immediate changes to ensure no other guests have to go through what we did.
