Grand Panama Beach Resort by Emerald View Resorts

The absolute WORST place to stay. If you want to be followed around by security like you’re 5 years old please feel free to be a guest. Security walked around the pool taking peoples things (towels, shoes, clothes) if they didn’t see anyone sitting with them. Security felt “threatened” and made false accusations when we asked them to back away from us because they were BOTH way too close to my husband. Immediately after said “threatening” before we could even get out of the pool the security officer called the cops to come evict us from our condo. 2 families, 5 children and this “man” felt really good, laughing the whole way back to our condo watching us pack and leave. He antagonized both husbands of our families and thought it was okay to lie on the report that was made. I’ve been to Panama City and vacationed here for over 10 years, I have never been to a more disrespectful, rude place.

Cute on the outside. Spirals from there. Staff was friendly at first, but then there’s the “security.” I’ve seen more menacing looking security at a Dollar Tree…not even a Dollar a general or a Family Dollar, but a Dollar Tree. They prance around looking like extras from Paul Blart:Mall Cop, just waiting for some Makenzie or Braxton to throw up their White Claws off a balcony. Need help beyond the skill set of the front desk? You’re better off calling Comcast, waiting on hold for 7.4 hours, and asking one of their technicians to relocate to the gulf area and take over for this crew. Incredibly unprofessional. Incredibly unhelpful. But, oddly, incredibly nice flowers in the entrance. I gladly rate this entire experience 1 underwhelmed star.

We stayed at GrandPanama Tower 1 unit 201. On the second floor. Beautiful views and didn’t have to use the elevator except for unloading. Check out Sunny Shores 1-201. You won’t regret it!! 3 br/2ba sleeps 8-10. Extra sleeper sofa and large bunk bed. Steps from doggie area. Pets 25lbs and under welcome. Large west facing balcony to view beautiful sunsets and fireworks off the pier. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Our condo was on the 13th floor. It was a very nice condo, but there are only 3 elevators for 22 floors and 1 of them was broken part of the time we were there. The wait time for an elevator was ridiculous and like nothing I remember ever experiencing before and I’ve been going to the beach for years. The parking situation is also not good. The parking garage is across the street from the beachfront tower, and doesn’t have assigned places so it’s a free for all. It’s aggravating to say the least to have to circle the garage repeatedly to find a parking space every time you go somewhere, especially when you have to pay a fee to park in addition to the condo price. Thankfully we had beautiful weather the whole week, and of course the beach was amazing. We ended up having a great vacation, but would have enjoyed it more if not for the elevator wait time and the parking situation which are both ridiculous when you consider how much it costs to stay at the Grand Panama. We will definitely not be staying there again for this reason.

We ran into issues before we even arrived. After paying in full we were emailed and asked for other identification thats fine and also complete another contract aswell as send over images of the front and back of our bank or credit card. This is totally unacceptable. Not something we have ever encountered. We contacted someone to find out what was going on to be confronted by someone who clearly didn't want to help and we were told if we didn't we couldn't have access to where we were staying. And hung the phone up twice. Contacted *********** who contacted them. Got there to learn that other customers were having the same issues and they wanted to photocopy peoples bank/credit cards. We spoke with a lady who was very helpful and worked with us not against us. Got it sorted straight away and was very helpful. The other lady on the desk not helpful and customers were told if they didn't let her copy the card they wouldn't release the code to the property they were staying. This is disgraceful. Understand why you need something for accidentals but you do not need photo images of someones credit/bank cards. Anyone knows you do not let anyone have your details due to risk of fraud. As for the property. Not quite what we expected as others have stated all rooms aren't beach front we were in tower two across the road. The view was still nice but not what we expected. Property was a good size but sadly dirty could do with a good clean. There were marks everywhere. Strange smell in one of the bedrooms. Utensils were dirty we had to pre wash anything we wanted to use. Pretty much everything we needed in the property. Balcony well equipped. We would come back to pcb but i dont think we would use these again sadly.

Grand Panama Resort in Panama city Beach, beach Front Tower 1 unit 1303 is no longer a rental unit. We purchased it in January 2023. This is a notice in case anyone has a reservation from the prior owner. He has not taken the unit off his rental sites.
