Selina Atitlan

This is one of the best Selina I have been to actually. It is really large and has a great community vibe. The staff is truly awesome. Truly. So helpful, kind and supportive. I was in a female dorm and I SLEPT SO WELL. There is hot water to shower and filter water to drink.

This place is asking for way to much money for what they offer. The beds are worn in and smell , very bare minimum bedding. The bare electrical outlet near the bunks are just asking for someone to get electrocuted. The bath rooms are also worn an rusty . And lastly there is no A/C in the shared rooms so why pay a premium price. The food at the restaurant is ok but over priced, and the alcoholic drinks barely have any alcohol in it. There was this one cashier who was very rude and when I placed my order I gave him a large bill expecting to get change back and when he closed the register he went back to his phone until I told him where my change was. The court yard is nice with a pool and tables and the dogs running around are fun but I kept seeing the same pile of poop in the shrubs for three days so the cleanliness is not there. Quite honestly for a chain hostel this location puts me off from ever booking another Selina location ever. SUPPORT YOUR MOM & POP HOSTELS!! Also don’t take their shuttle service they over charge you compared to Atitrans( who they use but up charge the price) book directly with the shuttle companies not with them.

We stayed in a shared 8 person dorm with en-suite. It was clean, and decently quite at night. The staff were awesome and very accommodating at all time. We got our dry cleaning done and it smelled fresh, was folded, and well priced as well. The pool was cleaned daily and nice to take a dip in. The restaurant however, was AWESOME. Honestly probably the best hostel food I’ve had. We are there serval times just due to the food begin that good. I recommend the wings with the Thai sauce. I would most definitely stay here again!!

What a great place to stay! I stayed in the four person dorm and it was very clean, very spacious and nicely decorated. The grounds were really nice and the pool refreshing in the afternoon. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful; great for helping me plan my stay in the area. The beach bar was lovely and the bar on site fun in the early evenings. Close proximity to the boat pier was a bonus! Absolutely will stay here again.

The four person dorm is lovely and roomy, the staff were nice and helpful, location is good and the beach bar and pool are are pretty and fun to hang out at. Slightly pricey for what it is, but a relaxing stay if you want to stay in panajachel (I would recommend staying at a nicer part of the lake in general though).

Decent hotel, but overpriced for the value in the area. The gardens of the hotel are great and the room was big. Conveniently located near one of the public docks in Pana and on a quiet street in town.

This selina is really nice, good location (close to the lake where the boats go from), big rooms, clean and working shared bathrooms, nice pool and has a beach bar right on the lake (a few minutes away). The kitchen is small and the food is expensive so would recommend eating elsewhere. It's also a little quieter than other selinas.

We stayed in the loft (which is their largest room I believe) and it smelled of a combination of sewage and gasoline the entire time. The service... well lack of service is abhorrent, extremely slow and staff just do not care. First day I ordered drinks and it took them over 15 minutes to make because the employee doesn't know how to multi-task and kept stopping to do other things, when he finally completed the drinks rather than give them to me so I can pay and be one my way he left and went to the kitchen to handle something else while I just stood there waiting without my drinks. The next morning I stood at the "Order Here" area of the bar for over 10 minutes while several staff walked by numerous times (making eye contact) yet never coming over to actually assist. It wasn't until I walked over to the reception desk (where surprise surprise no one was actually there) to complain that someone finally approached said they would be right with me, but again another 5 minutes waiting and NOTHING (also no one ever came back to the front desk while I was waiting). As a digital nomad who travels to a new destination every month had great hopes for a concept like this but was left underwhelmed and disappointed. Will not be using them on future travels for sure.

Overpriced, extremely overpriced but all Selina’s are! Location is great to the ferry dock but not so much to the main strip of town. I stayed in a 4 Bed Dorm Room, it was spacious and clean with a beautiful fireplace. Wifi wasn’t the best I had in Panajachel, continued to cut out and was slow in loading videos/downloads. Staff overall were fantastic, excluding one arrogant and disrespectful staff member. Would I stay again, possibility but no guarantee.
