Loved this hotel. Recently re-opened and the early reviews nearly put us off, but I'm so glad we booked it anyway. The location is perfect if you like lovely sea views, right on the little Palma Nova '*****', in a resort that's got plenty going on but not in a Magaluf way (which is only 3km away and the buses go frequently if that is your thing) - set just on the other side of the road from the lovely beach, and amongst lots of shops, bars and restaurants. We thought the food was fantastic - plentiful and lovely and lots of perfectly ripe fruit always available, brilliant cooked breakfast options and choices, variety of dishes at all meals, constantly refilled, and then in addition to that there were snacks at the bar most of the day. Pool bar staff were particularly good, very efficient and friendly and every so often even came around with trays of snacks or drinks. We were there the first week of July so probably not the busiest but there were always sunbeds free, we never had to queue for the bar or a table in the restaurant. Rooftop pool has a view to die for (and a small bar and cushioned sunbeds), but even from the terrace in front of the restaurant at the front of the hotel you have a lovely view of the sea. Everything everywhere is very clean and smart as I think its just been refurbished. Its very much a hotel that has all inclusive as an option rather than being a resort in itself, so depends what you are looking for, but it sits in a resort with lots to do and a stunning beach, and Palma is easy to get to by public bus or taxi. I would have given it 5 stars other than... 1. our AC never worked properly all week, even though we reported it multiple times. Someone would come and look at it, agree it wasn't working, say someone will be in tomorrow to fix it, then that wouldn't happen. Once someone did come and actually replaced the unit in the room and it still didn't work, so they hadn't figured out the problem. (loo stopped flushing one day, and that was very quickly fixed when we reported it to reception though.) 2. because of our flight times we arrived after dinner was finished and left before breakfast opened, and on both arrival and departure the reception staff told us there would be some food for us in the restaurant, but the restaurant was closed and wouldn't serve us anything either time, so they need to get the story straight one way or another between reception and restaurant staff!, 3. the all-inclusive wine was pretty rough (but I guess it usually is in an all inclusive hotel) and there were only 4 cocktails as part of the all inclusive deal (though they were very nice!... mojito, caparinha, tequila sunrise, pina colada). Probably the AC was just our room though, and the rest is only very minor *******, overall we loved this hotel and the resort and definitely hope to return one day soon! Thank you very much!
