The Westcott

Junk everywhere. Things were falling apart. Way understaffed. Tried to make up for it with the “free” breakfast, but it was grocery store carbs and semi-moldy fruit. For what we paid, we expected more. Definitely would not stay here again and can’t recommend.

The Westcott is a unique boutique hotel with lots of quirky charm. A dozen or so rooms surround an interior pool - with lounge chairs and tables that are available for guests. One of the things we appreciated apart from our upgrade to a mini suite was the great breakfasts that included homemade cakes, chocolatines, fresh fruit and hot options. Espresso machine and access to beverages all day was great. If you are looking for a Non-cookie-cutter hotel option I would recommend the Wescott. There’s a lot to like but plenty of room for improvement. The good: the mattress and bedding were exceptionally comfortable, really liked the design and feel of the property, the layout is great and it feels intimate yet private. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful but some notable people exceptions. There’s a lot of extras like the free happy hour, drinks, and breakfast which were a lovely touch. The not so good: it’s not staffed 24/7, there’s construction going on and materials left all over the place making it feel unkempt and rough, the hot tub only partially worked, the electric went out at one point, it was winter and there was only a space heater in the room that barely worked, the location is ok but not much is within walking distance but there is free parking. Overall, don’t think I would stay again unless they ironed out all the issues.

Super bed and breakfast. Un accueil personnalisé, le confort des chambres, l’intimité du lieux ont fait de notre sejour un moment inoubliable. Happy hours autour du feu et la piscine est clairement le plus avec ces produits de qualité. Grand merci à Matthew pour ces conseils.

This was my favorite stay in Palm Springs! This little hotel felt safe, loungey, and intimate. The owner of this place really took care of me and my friend during our stay. I was celebrating a birthday here and they left flowers, candles, balloons, and a cake for me in the room! You can feel the love and compassion at this location. They had snacks available for us all day as well as breakfast in the morning. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing Palm Springs stay, this is your spot!!

Schreckliche Erfahrung! Ich kann die guten Bewertungen leider gar nicht nachvollziehen. Das Westcott ist schlecht in Schuss und total verdreckt. Man kann es trotz der netten Menschen dort nicht freundlicher sagen. Wir haben 400 € pro Nacht bezahlt und im Bad war eine Kakerlake. Trotz Hinweis wurde wieder nicht gründlich geputzt. Das Laken war mit alten Blutflecken beschmutzt. In der zweiten Nacht war die Kakerlake wieder da und musste mit einem Kübel eingefangen werden. Der Pool ist ekelhaft und ebenfalls extrem schmutzig. Die netten Snacks und Drinks braucht man dann wohl auch nicht… ich kann nur dringend davon abraten, dieses Hotel zu buchen.
