Excellent place to stay Steve and Lynn are fantastic hosts, better than most big hotels I have ever stayed in. Lovely spacious room very clean and tidy as was the en suite bathroom with a good shower, breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. My wife and I would definitely recommend staying here, one minute walk to beach, pier and main shopping area, two minutes walk to mainline train station and bus station with steam train station next door to the mainline station. The Barclay is a great place to base yourself if you wish to visit the surrounding Devon area or just wish to stay in Paignton. Thanks to Steve and Lyn for looking after my wife and I Richard and Sharon from Watford.👍

Had a lovely break at The Barclay guest house Paignton. Steve and lyn are lovely people who made us very welcome. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Had breakfast each day, there was a good choice and everything was very nice. Would 100% stay again

Booked 5 rooms for family. Highly recommend. Very well managed by friendly owners. Spotlessly clean. Attention to detail. Location is excellent. Breakfast was perfect. Small fridge on landing with cold bottles of water. Plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and toiletries provided in the room. We all enjoyed our stay and would like to return. Thank you!

A great place to stay in Paignton within easy walking distance of the beach, pier, harbour, town, bus & railway stations. The place is lovely and clean. The breakfast is plentiful. Steve & Lyn are really friendly and helpful. I would recommend this guest house to anyone.

Just returned from a week at the Barclay guest house. Steve and Lyn were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The guest house was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The guest house itself is situated in an ideal spot close to the pier and beach, the main street and the town centre. The harbour is a short stroll away. Paignton is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area. We would highly recommend a stay at the barclay guest house.

lovely place to stay, not to big, the beds are really comfortable and our room was bright and spotless. The owners Linn and Steve were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast lots of choice. Will be going back in the future.

We spent 3 nights staying in the wonderful Barclay Guest House. We arrived to a very warm welcome from Steve and Lyn who helped us sort out parking and showed us to our room. The room was extremely clean and comfortable with everything you need from a hairdryer to luxury toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was lovely and hot with good quality produce. We ordered the night before which didn’t bother us in the slightest as it was so good we didn’t need to amend our order! Overall we had a wonderful stay and and couldn’t have asked for more. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

The Barclay Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful place. Steve and Lyn are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was incredible every morning. Very well cooked. The bedroom was very comfortable clean and tidy. Definitely go back and highly recommend. Easy walking distance to the beach, harbour and train station.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at The Barclay Guest House (family of 4 and my mother in law) . Attentive, welcoming hosts and lovely clean rooms, every need was thought of and the rooms were very well equipped and comfortable. Nicest breakfast we have had whilst staying at a B & B, plenty of options and perfect for setting you up for your day ahead. Great location, close to the seafront, pier and town centre and parking is a minute away. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Paignton which ticks all the boxes we would highly recommend staying at The Barclay, we wouldn't hesitate to return.
