San Juan Motel

Don't do it. I chose to listen to some of the better reviews, as I am not exactly picky and just wanted a cabin for the night. There was no heat in the cabin, the manager had to come light the furnace which took hours to warm up. The blankets and sheets were visibly dirty. Location was between two other cabins that were obviously occupied by full time tenants. The pictures of the cabins online are not what you will get. I slept in all my clothes on top of the blankets. I got in late and had no other choice. $150 for the worst stay of my life. Don't do it. Don't even think about it. The picture of the coffee maker is the "free breakfast"

Check it was nice oh first clue no one was there (staying ) Friday night. A ghost town motel with burned out letters on their sign. I have thought a lot about what I wanted to say next. I did not pick this hotel. I booked this hotel because my friend was cooking in the kitchen in his cabin, and it already been selected. There had been some confusion and in the end we got out alive

This place is a complete and utter s*** hole. Electricity barely works heaters don't work water pressure is low there's no hot water I don't know why people waste their time and money in this place. The housekeepers told me they don't get paid everything goes to their rent. So if there's no overhead why is there not capital for improvement? Do not stay here this place is horrible. And for the two nights that I stayed for and objected to the room and did not in fact stay went to another motel they never refunded.

A picture is worth a thousand words. We have never paid more for a worse hotel room. Anywhere! Do yourself a favor and pay a little more and get a nicer, better room elsewhere. Light coming in all around the door to the room. (Think bugs.) A window unit AC was put in the bathroom window with a huge wide open gap beside it. I stuffed it with the extra rolls of toilet paper and a towel. I mean REALLY???!!! Wires hanging down from the tv. Now there’s a great look. Overall, it was an awful experience. Not only will we never stay there again - and I mean NEVER - but we tell everyone we know who is going to Pagosa Springs “Whatever you do, do not stay at the San Juan Hotel.”

The staff are accommodating-we got an upgrade when our WiFi didn't work. Always ask for a room away from the road towards the back. That being said, online the room price was $85. When I arrived to check in, the price rose to $97 (and would've been more if we didn't pay in cash). Overall the room is clean with fresh paint, but a poor interior design. There is a trail head right near and I am excited to explore it tomorrow.

I had an awful experience at this hotel for my anniversary weekend and want to make sure people know not to stay here. Stayed 3/4/22-3/6/22 in cabin 16. Got to the room around 10:30pm Friday night and the heater was broken in the cabin. The thermostat said that the room was 50 degrees, but that was the lowest it temp it could register. Think it was in the 40's and my girl friend and I froze all night long. We woke up early Saturday morning to go ride at Wolf Creek and there were two mice in our kitchen stuck to a sticky trap. They were still alive when we found them. Sticky traps are a cruel way to remove pests and seeing that was really upsetting. I immediately went to the front office and after talking to the general manager, I got $10 off our room for the first night. That's totally unacceptable for freezing all night long and finding rodents in our room. The shower was totally disgusting and my girlfriend and I just opted to shower at the hot springs we visited Saturday night so we didn't have to stand on the gross shower floor. DO NOT STAY HERE. Awful management, bad facilities, rodents, no heat, and a dirty room.
