The Lawrence

This was a return visit with a large group of work friends, the food was amazing, and service was excellent. Staff were very attentive and offered tea and coffee refills more than once. I am now thinking of booking again for a themed afternoon tea. Thank you

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lawrence. The hotel is quite quirky in a really nice way. Everywhere is spotless and well presented. The rooms are spacious and really well coordinated. There’s a pretty good menu choice with gf and vegetarian options and the food is what fine dining is all about. The full English breakfast is a proper plateful of locally sourced ingredients and is cooked to perfection. The evening meal was cooked equally well. We had a steak and ale pie and a chicken, ham and leak pie on the first night and fish pie on the second night. It is really refreshing to see quality ingredients used which were cooked to perfection. We would happily stay here again

We chose the Lawrence for our twilight plus wedding as we wanted somewhere big enough to deliver and small enough to care and we got just that. The team were amazing with customer service levels rarely seen, every single member of staff were just fantastic and went above and beyond in every way. Olivia, Josh and all the team did the most amazing job to make our day run swiftly and smoothly. Aside from the service the food was amazing. Little touches like the guest kitchen, decorating our room (still don’t know who did that) and decorating my cake (Olivia) when I couldn’t sneak down to do it! I think you did a great job and it looked amazing. We would highly recommend The Lawrence to anyone considering having their wedding here. Michael clearly has a level of excellence that his staff live up to! Can’t wait to return to celebrate our anniversary or any excuse to be honest :) Thank you

Stayed 3 nights for a wedding and ****** mystery event. Food was great as were the staff. Bar was a bit pricey. Room was good but a bit dated and various appliances could probably do with seeing to, the taps moved when Turning on, the bathroom light switch was a bit dodgey. Generally though it was all pretty good. The staff did a cracking job and everyone was well looked after

Always stay here. The very best service, food and people. I always recommend this hotel and always want to come back would highly recommend. The rooms, the food are great. Perfect for a trip around Pendle hill and the surrounding areas. Parking is available if you get there early enough- otherwise street parking is fine.

The Staff are all very friendly and can't do enough for you! The hotel itself is an absolute gem, with so much attention to detail. There are 2 different kinds of pillows to suit all clientelle! The beds are so comfy! We had a hairdryer, ironing board & iron, most importantly a powerful fan as it was warm! A lot of love has gone in to each and every room of the whole place! The decor is beautiful. The food is delicious and the drink selection is vast .... we were treated like VIP's! I honestly cannot wait to stay again, it was wonderful!
