Ulasan IBB Hotel Paderborn

IBB is a DIY Hotel. You can check in from 2 to 6 pm at the reception - if you’re lucky. There’s a woman with an Eastern-European accent at the reception, who doesn’t seem to be bound to any regular times to be at work. Judging from her attitude, she seems to be connected to the management or the owners. Polite phrases are absent from her language, but orders aren’t. The cleaning lady on the other hand was super nice. If she’d manned the reception and the Russian lady would clean, it would be a boon for the guests. Checking in outside of the small time window, when the reception is manned, can be a challenge, particularly for foreigners. I helped a couple from abroad, who had unsuccessfully tried to call the German mobile phone number displayed at the entrance. They were stuck outside and didn’t know what to do. So I called the number, and the Russian woman mentioned above answers it and tells you what to do - literally. You have to type in a code, you’ll receive on the phone, into a metal box outside the entrance to get your card. I have no idea whether she speaks any English or not, so good luck. The rooms are quite modern, but wear and tear are already setting in. The TV remote in my room didn’t work properly, and the screen had a long scratch. There was dirt in the bathroom. There are supermarkets, fast food restaurants and a bakery close to the hotel. There is a Greek restaurant about 10 minutes walk away. As this is in a remote suburb of Paderborn, there isn’t much going on.

Das Hotel liegt doch etwas außerhalb, eine Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Hotel ist aber vorhanden. Die Rezeption war nicht mehr besetzt als wir eintrafen, Check-In hat aber trotzdem super unkompliziert funktioniert. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und alles nötige vorhanden. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Perfekte Ausgangslage für diverse Ausflüge wie Externsteine, Westfalen Therme, Safari Park uvm. Unschlagbarer Preis in der Region. Bäckerei, Supermarkt und Restaurants direkt angrenzend

Wir gingen nach Paderborn für das Spiel, zusammen mit meinem Sohn, Hotel sehr angenehm, sauber, empfehlen!

Schönes, sauberes Hotel mit schöner Dachterrasse. Schön, dass das Check-out bis 12 Uhr möglich ist.

Wir nutzen dieses Hotel gern für ein/zwei Übernachtungen, wenn wir unsere Kinder besuchen. Die Zimmer sind - wenn man eins mit Sofa erwischt - angenehm groß, hell und nett gestaltet. Für wenige Übernachtungen kommt man auch ohne Schrank aus, eine offene Möglichkeit mit Bügeln ist jedenfalls vorhanden. Das Bad ist klein und fein, die Dusche halb offen aber von angenehmer Länge. Wenn alle Seifenspender gut gefüllt sind, Toilettenpapier aufgefüllt, ist alles ok - wenn nicht, wird es schwierig, da die Rezeption sehr sparsam besetzt ist und man zumindest am Wochenende dumm da stehen kann. Bemerkenswert ist, dass wir sehr gut schlafen und die Möglichkeit einer Kaffe- bzw. Teezuberetung inkl. Material dazu, auf dem Zimmer vorhanden ist. Im Gebäude ist eine Bäckerei, die nicht zum Hotel gehört, in der man sehr gut frühstücken kann, an den Wochenenden auch als Büfett (9,50 €) oder aber einzeln zusammengestellt, ganz nach Wunsch. Also eigentlich alles ok, sollten Sie nicht zu den Ultrafrühaufstehern gehören und sich auch gegen 9:00 Uhr noch auf dem Zimmer aufhalten, hängen Sie besser das "Bitte nicht stören" Schild raus, der Zimmerservice beginnt gnadenlos früh. Diesmal hatten wir zum 1. Mal ein Laken mit Löchern, sauber war es allerdings.

The stay was great, we booked 5 rooms Comp drink was part of our package, but none of us received them.

A tiny fridge in the room would be great.

Clean and modern. Self check-in. Convenient if driving, with parking nearby. Several fast-casual restaurnats nearby and a good bakery at the rear of the property.
