Hotel Lasaretti

Lunch was disapointed. Hamburger buffee 12,90€ for each, was not home made indeed. We havent eaten as bad restaurant food ever. Cold, white bread with industrial maded beef. Unbelievable! And chief of the restaurant only said sorry, thats all.

I stayed in this hotel for one night, room 209. The hotel is made in the model of an old hospital and the hotel room was designed to remind about a hospital room, including the bathroom reminding of a bathroom in a hospital. It was a kind of interesting solution, perhaps not to everybody’s liking but an interesting experience. The decoration was simple and the room represented a kind of “minimal” style: there were only a limited amount of things and thus the room did not feel like too full of stuff. I liked that feature of the room. When entering the building where the room was, I noticed quite stuffy air in the corridors. The air was also somewhat stuffy in the room at first. I opened the window and this helped significantly. The window had two parts on top of each other and I kept the other part of the window open throughout the night and that turned out to be a very good solution: the air remained very good for me. There was no air conditioning. Still, I would not recommend at least the rooms in the old part of the building for those who usually suffer much from stuffy indoor air. The hotel room was very clean. There was enough space in the room for clothes and much space in the bathroom as well. The view was to the park nearby, with a view to the water as well, which was overall really nice. The sound insulation was very good. The room temperature was good, neither too hot nor too cold. The breakfast was excellent and diverse: bread, yoghurts, different types of pastry, juices, cheeses, ham, fruits, vegetables… The service was excellent and the receptionists were helpful. The location is somewhat of a walk from the city center and there were not that many restaurants close by. However, the center is about one kilometer away and there are a lot of restaurants. I can recommend the walk in the park towards the city center: the park is quite nice at least during summer. If going to Oulu next time, maybe I would choose a hotel closer to center. I was attending an event in Lasaretti when visiting it, and thus in this situation, this was an excellent place in terms of location.

Questo al albergo di Oulu è stato ricavato da un vecchio ospedale, e ancora oggi ne conserva il rigore e la schematicità, pur essendo dotato dei comfort comuni a questo tipo di hotel. Le camere sono arredate con semplicità e funzionalità, come pure le parti comuni e la sala colazione. In camera: bollitore, ferro da stiro e creme per il viso; colazione abbastanza varia con dolce e salato; parcheggio gratuito adiacente, possibilità di passeggiare nel vasto giardino attorno all' albergo. Pace e tranquillità. Centro di Oulu raggiungibile a piedi.

Hôtel propre et professionnel. Un peu excentré du centre mais ça se fait à pied. Les plus : le petit déjeuner était simple mais bon. Proximité de la rivière permet la ballade ou le bain après le sauna. Les moins : la chambre est assez petite. Je ne sais pas combien sont dans ce cas mais j’avais réservé une chambre double avec grand lit je me suis quand même retrouvé avec deux lits simples. Même si on peut les rapprocher facilement les couettes restent des couettes une place et on la perd vite dans la nuit.
