Palazzo de Mori

Beautiful hotel, great location and excellent service. We stayed one night but Sergio and his team were excellent. Recommended superb restaurants for us and provided assistance directing the parking (it’s tricky if you struggle with bags you.l need assistance ) which they will provide. Sunny and light and gorgeous views.

Everything amazing from the location to the room, staff and breakfast...also a super view over the harbour and coast. Everything clean and pristine, comfy bed, fantastic high terrace and a simply amazing breakfast. Positioned within 2 - 10 minutes of anything you might need. Super helpful and friendly staff, really exceptional. Quiet during our visit (early April) but believe Ortranto could be busy (noisy ?) during June - August.

I stayed at Palazzo de Mori, in Otranto in April 2023. I only stayed for one night, and wish I had stayed longer. I corresponded with Sergio when I was selecting this hotel, and he was very helpful and informative. The gentleman that greeted me and checked me in was particularly professional, efficient, and friendly. I felt comfortable from arrival through checkout. I had a fantastic room, with a wonderful view looking out over the Marina. I was on a bicycle tour around Puglia, and they were very welcoming. I was able to park my bicycle in their secure courtyard overnight. My room was perfect. It was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. It had all the things a traveler could expect. The breakfast was wonderful, and served on a beautiful terrace overlooking the marina. The ladies that served the breakfast greeted me with warm smiles, and brought delicious coffee. I would not hesitate in recommending Palazzo de Mori, or staying there again. My only regret was that I only stayed one night. If I had known how nice it was I would have shortened a stay someplace else, and stayed another day in Otranto.

We liked this place! Of course you can't drive in front of the door with your car, but then that's most often the case if you stay in this kind of old town. But everything can easily be reached by foot. We got a very friendly welcome by Matteo upon arrival and could use our room already before the official check-in time (during an off-season period), which we appreciated a lot. The room was beautifully decorated with enough space and a good-size bathroom and shower. At breakfast there was a very nice buffet with lots of choices and some quality cheese and meat. Unfortunately, at the time of our visit it was too cold to sit outside on the terrace with a terrific view on the harbor. Otranto is a beautiful city and worth a visit, if only for the incredible mosaic at the cathedral. We would certainly choose Palazzo de Mori again. Just to note, it is clearly a (high-class) B&B and not a 4* hotel as marked on Google.

Wir haben hier mit einer Wandergruppe in vier Zimmern übernachtet. Das Hotel ist top gelegen direkt an der Bucht und doch mitten in der Altstadt. Die Terrasse, auf der das gute Frühstück eingenommen werden kann bietet einen top Ausblick über die Bucht. Der Service und die unterschiedlichen Zimmer in dem historischen Gebäude sind erstklassig. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.
