One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The property is absolutely stunning. The breakfast was incredible, so was the service. It is definitely remote but this adds to the charm. My only feedback would be more variety in the lunch and dinner menus.

This place have probably one of the most spectacular gardens I’ve ever seen in a masseria. Just loved it! Regarding the accommodation, beautiful big rooms, nice breakfast area and food options, and the most charming place for dolce far niente in lemon trees garden. Really enjoyed it! For dinner the restaurant has a lot to improve, is still in the capital of Italy food scene. But still is a decent place to dine.

Firstly, the service was exceptional. The staff are all friendly and super helpful. They were accommodating to our late check out. The location and property itself is simply stunning. It was a very relaxing stay and the food fresh. Breakfast had everything you need.

The team was incredibly welcoming, sharing great recommendations for sights to see. Dalila especially went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional, finding a solution for our room change when it could've been a hassle. The rooms were fantastic, offering plenty of privacy—we practically had our own terrace. The pool and common areas were perfect for relaxing and socializing. The hotel is 15 mins drive from Ostuni so plenty of options to eat if not dining in the hotel (which we did on one night and really enjoyed the menu)

We had to cancel the reservation upon arrival as we were not happy with the location of the hotel and the cleanliness of the room. The road to the hotel takes good 20 min from the highway through a very narrow road with lots of potholes. It makes a trip to any of the major sites or to the beach at least 30 min. Though the common areas, especially the pool, looked amazing, the room was definitely not at ~350 euro per night level, especially in the off season in October. Mostly it concerns the sofa with stains and a weird smell inside. We also had a “terrace” with our room category, however, it was very dirty like it was never used before. Finally, the hotel is surrounded from two sides by a huge solar and industrial park. The images you see online are very hand picked to hide these facts. Of course the cancellation policy was clear to us and after long conversations the management allowed us to pay a reduced rate to cancel it, I find it still very unsatisfactory for a hotel the situation we were in.

Masseria Ssnto Scalone has both met and exceeded the expectations I had as I was dreaming up of the perfect place to celebrate my 40th birthday with 9 of my friends and family! I had begun planning this adventure December of 2023. Dalila, Paola, Sefania, and Maria and all other staff worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was attended to, even with all the last minute changes they did not miss a beat. This place is the absolute quintessential definition of a true Italian experience. The staff, location, history, and service was everything I was looking for when I dreamt up of what and where I wanted to be on my last days of this decade. Thank you all for making this experience unforgettable and anyone looking for an amazing, authentic, relaxing place to be, look no further than Masseria Santo Scalone. Me ne vado con il cuore così pieno. Arrivederci e alla prossima volta! Grazie di tutto!! The one thing that I would recommend when visiting the area is definitely have a car! Taxis are very expensive and hard to get but this was no reflection of the Masseria!

Beautiful! The hotel is a beautifully restored Masseria close to the city of Ostuni with parts built in the 1300s. Rooms are large, well decorated with all the expected amenities. The hotel is managed by a team of very helpful and polite ladies!

The grounds are amazing. Being one of the oldest masseria in the area, they've done an incredible job maintaining the history while creating beautiful contemporary amenities. The flowers, cacti, olive trees, and landscaping in general are incredible. We also spent a lot of time by the pool, which is incredibly relaxing. The staff is amiable, passionate about their work, and very accommodating. Whatever your needs and wants are, communicate them and they will work to meet your expectations. The food is fantastic as well. The continental breakfast is far beyond what I expected. They have great wine and pasta-making classes as well. The only issue is if you want to get into Ostuni regularly, cars/drivers are more expensive than what we find in the US with Uber/Lyft. Just something to take into account when planning your time there and has nothing to do with Masseria Santo Scalone. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to luxuriate and relax in Apulia.
