This is a hotel with the highest standards, and the warmest of staff. We felt so looked after, and could not fault it. The pool is amazing, with a swim in/ out for the inside/ outside, and areal attractino after a day of ski-ing. We also had as a group so much fun in the bar, with its attentive, warm and amusing staff. It is a lot of money in half term week, but we felt teh quality of the hotel merited the costs.

Wonderful hotel, perfect location. The staff are great and the food was very good with a lot of menu options. We loved the pool as well. The hotel provides great activity options for guests who are skiing but especially for those who aren't skiing. We will definitely be back another year.

Shhh - don’t tell anyone. This is the most perfect and fabulous hotel ! The staff are so welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay the best we have ever had - nothing was too much trouble. The spa and pool were an oasis of relaxation with the fire pit glimpsed through the steam from the outdoor section of the pool. Ski room and shuttle well organised and all went smoothly with multiple drop offs and pick ups around Ortisei. Finally, the food and wine was superb and choice selection of things for all the family - including our pescatarian daughter - with afternoon tea and snacks post ski just right to accompany a beer or bombardino. We left this morning and were sad to go - in fact I really don’t want to tell anyone about this hotel but it is so good it would be unfair not to!

We had a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, especially the restaurant team. They went out of their way to adjust the menu for our kids every night. Their kindness and warmth made our stay truly memorable—we couldn’t have asked for more.

A hotel offers services, and Hotel Angelo Engel offers the best. We were a group of 11 loud adult men with several demands. Every wish, every question was met with a smile and with the best possible solution, often exceeding our expectations. The hotel is very close to the center (200m), provides a free shuttle service with a mini van within Ortisei, provides a mountain guide (!) who gives information and can accompany you for free on the slopes (yes, we did it and it was our best day of skiing). The food was all very good (breakfast and dinner). The rooms were clean, with good mattresses and pillows. The spa was good, we didn't lack anything. One day, a girl from the waiters was on leave and brought her two young children to the hotel in the morning for a walk, and her colleagues prepared a small breakfast for them with smiles, as if they were the official guests of the day. This is the DNA of the hotel, and lucky are those who choose to stay there.

Hotel Angelo in Val Gardena offers a delightful balance between comfort and genuine hospitality. During my stay, I was greeted by friendly staff who did everything they could to make me feel at home—from the warm welcome at the reception to the informal chats in the bar with Nicolas, who adds a personal touch to the evening with his well-crafted drinks. The rooms and other facilities certainly lived up to expectations—a pleasant retreat whether you're on vacation or a business trip. The food was an experience in itself; a satisfying blend of local ingredients prepared in a way that made dinner a highlight. It was especially a bonus to receive excellent wine recommendations from Linda, whose passion for wine truly brought the local selection to life. I left Hotel Angelo feeling that I had enjoyed an authentic and relaxed stay, and I already look forward to returning—both in the winter and summer months.

What a hotel in such a wonderful location! The staff are extremely friendly from check-in to check-out, especially the bar and dining staff. The rooms are spacious and of a high level and the bathroom is exceptional. You can rent skis at their appointed rental and then you not only get a discount but also they are delivered to the ski room and at the end of your trip they are picked up from the ski room - hassle-free! The food is outstanding; breakfast as well as dinner. There are choices of meals that change every day and you can experience the Tyrolian food as well as go simple. Then there is the skiing, which is why we came! The slopes are magnificent with superb views of the Dolomite Mountains. The hotel provides a ski guide who takes out all of the hassles of skiing; navigating, lunch spot selection, etc... We had an issue with the skis of one person being taken accidentally and Georg just got on and sorted everything out, from a spare set of skis from the hutte we were at to get the skis delivered back to the hotel. Outstanding. Oh yes and just to add he is a really nice guy with good humor and excellent knowledge of the area. All in all a superb place to go skiing.

Excellent hotel with superb wellness area friendly staff, great food situated in the best skiing area in Italy. Second year in a row that we stayed in this hotel. It it located in a friendly little town Ortisei. Great acces into the Val Gardena area via Alpe di Susi and Seceda.

Brilliant hotel; staff are welcoming , friendly from arrival to the restaurant to Konstantin who rins the ski shuttle and works in the restaurant. Food is super , spa also brilliant. Well placed with the two ski lifts less than five minutes in the shuttle !
