Hotel Savoy

A lovely hotel in a beautiful town, with gracious and helpful staff and pleasant, immaculate room. Breakfast was excellent. Opatija is a beautiful destination in Istria where we stopped on our way to Ravinj. A terrific introduction to Croatia!

Great position on seafront - easy to find and helpful receptionist told us where to park. Secure garage opposite hotel and payment at hotel on leaving. Comfortable room - kept clean and bed comfy. Breakfast excellent - good variety and pleasant room. Sun beds available where you can swim in sea easily. Pleasant walk along promenade both ways from hotel - plenty of bars/restaurants nearby. Only fault would be that hotel bar and terrace didn’t appear to open in evening but there are other bars open beneath the hotel. Absolutely no noise could be heard in our room at night from nearby nightclub. Thankyou for pleasant two nights.

Nice small chick hotel near the sea, good breakfast, very good meals at the restaurant entered from the hotel, nice rather small rooms but with balcony opening at wonderful sea view. Beautiful terrace coffe bar

The noise from the nightclub below was unbearable. Great sea views, breakfast was ok but don’t plan on sleep before 2am! Great location. Staff were interesting and varied from amazing to verging on rude. The guy that got our bags from the car and then jumped into give me directions back to the car park was amazing but the receptionist who doubled up as bar staff was so rude when we asked if we could possibly have an extra room card!

Stayed for two nights in deluxe seafront room. The view from room is wonderful and swimming off rocks below hotel is lovely. Breakfast is very good with plentiful choices. Rooms are ‘dated elegance’ but spotlessly clean and bed comfortable. Negatives: Wi-Fi is very patchy. Lobby is bland and bar area was always totally deserted. Not very welcoming. Lights were off early in evening so it was obviously not being used much. Beach towels required a deposit in cash -for a hotel with 4 stars these towels should be part of the room supplies. Lounge chair and umbrella 10euros a day. Again should be part of hotel room rate.

Abbiamo soggiornato all’Hotel Savoy per tre giorni durante un viaggio a Opatija, scelto principalmente per la posizione strategica: l’hotel si trova proprio sopra la clinica che dovevamo visitare, rendendolo estremamente comodo per i nostri spostamenti. Camere: Le camere sono un po’ piccoline, ma comunque confortevoli e ben pulite. Colazione: La colazione è davvero ottima, con un buffet molto ricco e vario che soddisfa tutti i gusti. Servizi e staff: Lo staff è incredibilmente gentile e disponibile, e alcuni parlano anche italiano, il che è stato molto utile. Una delle ragazze alla reception è stata particolarmente premurosa, dandoci ottimi consigli su cosa visitare nei dintorni. Inoltre, sapendo che dovevamo partire alle 5 del mattino, ci hanno preparato delle lunch box, un’attenzione che abbiamo davvero apprezzato. Piscina e benessere: La piscina coperta è fantastica, completa di jacuzzi e con la possibilità di usufruire di massaggi e altri trattamenti benessere. Note negative: L’unico punto negativo è il locale situato sotto l’hotel, che in alcune serate organizza eventi con musica, rendendo un po’ difficile dormire per chi ha il sonno leggero. Conclusione: In generale, la posizione ottima, la gentilezza dello staff (anche in italiano) e i servizi offerti compensano i piccoli difetti. Consigliato per chi cerca comodità e relax con qualche attenzione in più!
