If you are visiting Ooty, I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful old colonial mansion. The location is great, the ambience is wonderful, and the service is impeccable. Although you are centrally located, you cannot hear any of the noise or commotion from town. It is as if you are in the countryside. The grounds are very pretty, wonderful just to sit outside in the peace and calm. The food was wonderful, and I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Ooty.

A great, superbly crafted place for friends and families. If you are in a family/friend group of 5 to 6 families and looking for an exclusive place to relax in Ooty, this is the place. Great outdoor/indoor ambience, especially the restaurant (a cozy, European touch ambience). The only advice is, the Luxury Rooms need renovation just like the standard of the Suite Rooms

I would give 4.5 stars to the place. The place is perfect for a family stay. The location is good, in isolation and away from the main traffic of Ooty but at the same time accessible to the main areas, markets as well. The maintenance of the place is very good with proper old and vintage decor. The host manager, Deepak ji, is very polite and helpful. Kingsley and other staff members were very helpful and nice too. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days and had a great experience.

Great place to stay, the cottages were clean and airy and the food was good. Deepak and his staff were great and that made our stay a lot more comfortable. The Lymond house is located right near the railway station and the race course. The property was away from the busy city centre and in a very quiet part of town. We would definitely come back to stay here again.

This break was much needed & I’m glad, I chose this place… Was away from the hustle & bustle, in the lap of nature!! The staff was always out there, helpful & warm.. trying to make it as comfortable as it gets!! Lymond House is the place that I’d think of, whenever Ooty comes in mind!!

The best place to stay in Ooty. It dates back to 1800s and and is beautifully maintained. The rooms give vintage colonial feel. The lawns are lush green, full of trees and nice barbeque area. We booked the whole place and had great time. The staff is caring. Look forward to our next visit.

We did not actually stay here. We had a booking which had been in place for some weeks, but about 6 days before we were due to check in, they emailed our agents and cancelled the booking. They declined to give a reason for the cancellation, which is why I have given them a terrible rating. If there is a good reason, that then becomes understandable and acceptable, but not to give a reason is not acceptable. As it stands, I feel badly treated.
