unfriendly welcome, and overall cleanliness very poor. Dirt on the public floor stayed for the two days at the hotel. There was no room service on the middle day, just a towel (virtual) thrown in. It is a pitty, the location of the hotel is nice, you can sit in the restaurant overlooking the canal, and the parking situation is great around the house. The whole area around the hotel is beautiful.

Booked here as there were only 2 hotels (same owner) in Ommen. As a hotel it could do much better with more cleanliness, rooms are a little outdated. Value/price is a mismatch at this moment.

We stayed for 1 night after hiking some 20 km, so we did not go into town or anything, but the city centre was just around the corner. The room itself was large and very well kept, nice beds and showers: a great place to recover ;-)

Booking was easy, did not include breakfast (17,50 per person is not worth it for me, regardless of what I am eating). Room was good value for money. Lighting in the room was quite weird to use, could be easier with dimmers.

We booked a room with view on the river. This was a wonderful renovated room, with a lot of space. The bathroom has everything you need, including a whirlpool bathtub, it's just a little old. The food in the restaurant was delicious and presented in a beautiful way. The quantity of the food was a little low, but when we made a small remark, the quantity of the dessert was increased! The next day breakfast was luxury with many options. Furthermore you can use the wellness in the other hotel quite closeby, even before checkin and checkout. The wellness was nearly empty during our stay. It's a bit dated, but had everything we need to our great enjoyment.

Hotel de zon restaurant area is very good. Nice food, drinks, staff and view. The room was also very comfortabel. The spa on the other hand was not clean at all. So if you go there for the spa, I would not reccomend. If you go for the a nice night in a hotel and to enjoy very good food, than I really reccomend it.

I stayed in a one-person room (without view). Was clean, bed was good and the staff I met when checking in and out were nice. Had breakfast in the restaurant with the sun rising and great view of the river, food was good. Rich choice of different kinds of breakfast foods and drinks.

We stayed with friends at Hotel de Zon in Ommen for one night. Excellent location, clean rooms, friendly staff and a real good mean. Although the place was packed, dining room and terras full of people the staff handled it all very well and we all felt as special visitors. Highly recommendable place to stay or celebrate a special moment.

From our balcony (Room 22 on third floor) we enjoyed a beautiful view of the Vecht. A spacious room although there are some features that could do with maintenance (eg timber floor on balcony) and provision of more shelving.
