Loved this place ! Staff amazing ! Gorgeous views ! Free parking . Big rooms with wood beams on ceiling that were so rustic and cozy ! Beautiful dining area and food superb. Areas to rest and relax and enjoy the mountanous view! Highly recommend !!!!!

Lovely mountain hideaway! Beautiful setting lovely building beautiful decor, traditional but fresh, well laid out. Road to it an interesting experience on a motorcycle!

Beautiful property and incredible staff We had a great stay here. The staff, especially Itzal (hope i got that right) was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast had many options, and we also enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. The property is in a beautiful location with amazing views no matter where you look. It was 20 minutes into San Sebastien and under 10 to Oirtzun.

We arrived to a warm welcome, despite arriving fairly late (after 10pm), having picked this for a one-night stay in northern Spain, near the French border, for our onward journey from Portugal to the UK. Room service rustled us up a very nice four-cheese pizza. The bed was comfy, and we had a bath and good shower (immediate hot water and great water pressure) in our junior suite. Very nice scenery, as it’s set in rolling parkland, and I enjoyed sipping my coffee in the morning, sat on the wide windowsill with the windows wide open, listening to the morning bird-song and looking at the misty mountains, through the trees. The breakfast was nice, but seemed a touch limited on choice to me for a place with an a la carte restaurant (but this is subjective, as the food was very good). And they do eggs cooked to order, and bacon (both superb). I thought the staff were superb, both the evening shift, and breakfast shift. Two things to say: Firstly, remember you are in mountain country, here, so need to be a little more cautious about the turning to get into this place; if you’re in a camper van / VW T3/ Caravelle, etc, as the access single-track lane that leads, after 1-2km, to the hotel, starts off with a very tight hair-pin bend on a 30-degree gradient, and the sign to the hotel which accompanies the turning can be easy to miss. Secondly, I would say this a perfectly viable stopover, if you’re looking for a place in the Spanish-French border area (this was our reason for picking it). However, on arrival, it was clear this is something of an events-led venue; evidenced by two large covered outdoor areas, one a bar (think festival bar), the other a dining/mezzanine area (think wedding marquee) both immediately next door to the hotel, in addition to a big ground-floor restaurant area. Although no events were ongoing when we got there, I think this may have been our blind luck, rather than judgement. And I note other reviews saying they were unaware they had booked an overnight stay while events were being laid on - and suffered a disturbed night because of it. So if you do book here, I would enquire with the venue first, whether there are any events being hosted, otherwise I would give it a miss.

Personnel, accueil,qualité des chambres (adapté PMR), restaurant le lieu tout est parfait. seul petit bémol le dernier kilometre est un peu chaotiques pour arriver à l hotel mais rien de dramatique
