Hotel Alpenhof

Stayed at the village of Oberau at the Hotel Alpenhof before attending the Passion Play in nearby Oberramergau. Delightful village. Delightful night life. Unique hotel. Stayed there with friends and had a grand time. Would stay there again. Good dining nearby, as well. Particularly the La Caprese.

We stayed here during our visit to the Passion play. The hotel has clean, comfortable accommodation, and is only 10km from Oberammergau. The bus station is about 1.5km from the hotel, an easy walk if you do not have to carry any luggage.

We stayed for two nights recently for the Passion Play at Oberammagu. We arrived to the stench of cigarette smoke and all our keys were just chucked on the reception desk to sort ourselves out. When we got to our room, it too stank of smoke which had infiltrated the bedding. The room was very dated with old carpets. There was a load of paint that had fallen off the wall at the back of the television. The shower drain smelt making it very unpleasant to shower in. Breakfast was very mediocre. At 6.30am each morning we were woken up by the building site opposite and we had to keep the window wide open due to the smoke. There was only one pillow on each bed with no spares. I cannot believe this place has a three star rating. It should not have any. The Wi-Fi was also very intermittent. My husband and I did not enjoy the stay at all and were glad to leave.

Das war das schlechteste Hotel in dem ich jemals gewesen bin. Wir waren auf der Durchreise und sind spontan hier eingekehrt. Parken gestaltet sich schon mal schwierig, nach langer Suche haben wir im angrenzenden Wohngebiet einen Stellplatz gefunden. Angebliches Nichtraucher Hotel, am Eingang beim Check in riecht alles nach Rauch. Der Herr am Eingang war sehr verhalten und wirkte extrem lustlos eher genervt. Angeblicher Wellnessbereich sei aktuell defekt! Im Hotel gibt es kein Aufzug. Im gesamten Hotel richt es muffig und alles wirkt schmuddelig und verlebt. Die Zimmer sind nicht schön und laden auch nicht zum verweilen ein. Möbel wirken wie vom Sperrmüll. Betten unbequem und muffig. Bad stellenweise heruntergekommen. Dachfenster lässt sich nicht richtig öffnen. Duschkopf lässt sich nicht arretieren. Handtücher riechen unangenehm. Eigentlich will man hier nichts benutzen. Balkon muss man sich mit weiteren Gästen teilen, keine Privatsphäre. Andere Gäste könnten über Gemeinschaftsbalkon in das eigene Zimmer gelangen. Frühstück durchweg schlecht. Keinerlei frischen Produkte. Alles vom günstigsten Discounter gekauft und hingelegt. Frühstücksraum war extrem ungemütlich und schmuddelig. Die Dame in der Küche war sehr bemüht was es aber auch nicht mehr herausgerissen hat. Kartenzahlung obwohl angegeben nicht möglich. Ich kann dieses Hotel niemanden empfehlen und würde hier auch nicht noch einmal einkehren. Das was man hier den Gästen zumutet ist eine Frechheit.
