The hotel is beautiful and well appointed. The staff is remarkable! So kind and gracious. They all took exceptional care of us and took pride in their work. We loved the morning breakfasts. The location is convenient to sites and shopping. We would gladly stay again!

This is a fine fine place to stay. The staff is warm and responsive, the room (with patio) was great, with a private patio that let light in almost like an artist. It is in a noisy part of downtown, but it quiets down a bit by 10 or 11 pm. The buffet breakfast was fresh, offered nice variety, and reminded us that we were no-longer in Michigan winter. Fabulous restaurants nearby. Our only not-so-positive thing is that the pool is quite small, and not heated. And the rooftop pool and lounge chairs can be quite noisy. But the terrific sun and warmth is worth it!

This was a fabulous hotel. We were talking today before we left how everyone looked after us like it was a family run hotel. We need to learn more Spanish because the staff were so apologetic when we didn't understand them. THe location is great fir a short walk into the peak areas for the parades and music. And our balcony room allowed a view of the sunrise and we could hear the music from Zocalo! I also benefited from the 25 min walk-up to Cerro el Fortin. Nice breakfast. Great cocktails. But simply lovely staff around the clock. We will be back.

Hotel Escondido is one of the most beautiful accommodations I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, helping us book a car from the airport and even having a welcome cocktail for us upon arrival! The rooms were clean, gorgeous, and so comfortable—and the hotel itself was such a relaxing place to land after a busy day in the city. Will definitely be returning!

I couldn't rave enough about our wonderful stay at Hotel Escondido! The location of this boutique hotel couldn't be better - very central but away from the hustle and bustle of all the tourist action. The building and the rooms are exceptional, clean and comfortable and as an interior designer - I very much enjoyed the well appointed design and the well kept courtyard garden, the pool on the roof was a welcome respite for the mid-day heat. The staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly - they went above and beyond helping us plan our day trips, lined up drivers and even surprised me with a chocolate cake for my birthday! The building is located at an active street corner and though you could hear a bit of traffic noise - it didn't bother us at all and we're light sleepers! I was worried after reading other reviews so I asked for a quieter room which was just perfect - we will be visiting again!

Wonderful place to stay in vibrant Oaxaca City. Would highly recommend. Beautiful, friendly, boutique feel in a great location. My husband and I had three lovely nights here. Gorgeous common areas and comfortable rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff, too.

This hotel is such a romantic hideaway in a very romantic city! Excellent service all around! The rooftop pool is amazing and also a wonderful place to watch the sunrise! Easily walkable to the city square and 25 minutes from the airport! Great place to visit!

Beautiful architecture, friendly staff in a noisy corner. City hotel on a good location in beautiful Oaxaca. The level rooms around the patio have no views. Very small bathroom. It feels homely but we could not live with the street noise. Earplugs are provided and necessary. Good continental breakfast
