Gala Oaxaca

I was there for a week. I really liked the the hotel was extremely close to the Palacio Municipal, the Qisco, the historical street and the Mercados. The mattresses are extremely hard. The pillows were very thin. We were only given one. We asked for a second one and it took 3 days to get them. The water pressure is extremely low and the shower handles weren’t working properly. The hot water one was extremely hot and unable to control as well as the cold one. After the first day the shower water did not turn off. For this reason I asked for a different room. The room we were given was larger but the shower was smaller and the toilet seat was way too close to the wall. We could not seat comfortably. The sheets were not changed daily. We were asked to use the towels at least twice. I was very concerned that the front door to the hotel would be locked with a chain at night. I believe it is a fire hazard. I cannot say what time at night it was locked due to us leaving early in the morning every day and we returned at night. We had to call the hotel phone number in order to have the attendant open the door. It would take some time because he was asleep. For the above reason I will not stay there again and will not recommend it.
