The Hotel was lovely, situated in a beautiful setting and on arrival it all looked very grand. The rooms were comfortable and roomy, all the staff we spoke to were very professional, helpful and friendly. A little gem of a hotel, highly recommended if you are in this area and want a touch of luxury, you won't be disappointed.

So I took my elderly mum for a cup of tea as she lives in the nearby care home. I asked the gentleman at the bar if he could sort us some scones out as we didn’t want afternoon tea. He asked the chef and they had enough so we had tea coffe and scones. I would like to thank Charlie , Jamie -Lee & driss for their help in making my mum so happy. Your attitudes to making us happy went far beyond. Thank you all so much.

Given voucher for afternoon tea, very disappointed, bread for sandwiches just normal sliced bread, fillings were ok very thin slice of pretty tasteless cheese and tasteless ham, egg and salmon were OK. Staff were very polite but the service was very poor, waited ages for everything, all in all very disappointed. Glad I hadn't paid over a hundred pounds.

Oakley Hall Hotel provided an absolutely fantastic bespoke wedding for us that was way beyond our and our guests' expectations. The Library, the Garden Room and patio proved to be excellent facilities, whilst the views provided a romantic back drop to our day. The bedrooms were impeccably clean, quiet and well equipped. My husband and I and the majority of our guests are used to attending corporate events and functions at hotels and conference venues so when we booked the hotel whilst we were pleased with the facilities, our expectation was that the food would be standard hotel cuisine. We were mistaken; the Chef excelled and the majority of our guests commented that this was the best Wedding Breakfast food they had ever experienced. They were particularly complimentary about the Beef Wellington which they thought was Michelin star quality. All the staff were brilliant and very personable whilst providing a perfect balance between being non-intrusive and very attentive when required. My sister and I stayed at Oakley Hall whilst our mother was very poorly in Oak Lodge. The staff were very obliging and helpful in our time of need. A special mention to Joel ( restaurant) for being so kind , thoughtful and helpful. It was due to Joel’s sensitive attention that we decided to hold our mothers wake at the hotel too. Later, in April, we held mums wake here and everyone was lovely. All staff were so helpful and again sensitive to our needs. We’d like to mention Connor here who had served us in the bar/restaurant and also waitered at the wake. Joel again remembered us and was so helpful and nice. Lovely building, well maintained, food was good, but the service was frankly appalling. Waiting 20 minutes for a drink in the bar and then another 15 minutes for a menu once at our table as well as ongoing delays was incredibly disappointing. The members of staff did seem to be good people and were apologetic about the delays, telling us that there was a lack of staff. So, whilst nobody received a tip which they normally would have, clearly the management haven’t a clue what’s going on. Maybe they should also consider that as well as TA, word travels and until we hear that service is made a priority we won’t be returning.

Just returned from 2 night stay at Oakley Hall. Would like to praise the young lady from Overton who served us for dinner and breakfast - she listened , was attentive , interested in our comments and overall great. We asked for a garden view room ( we’ve been many times before) but #45 had a marquee view with a small bit of garden, we’ll request #47 next time. Still love the place and will be back again.

I held my husbands special birthday at Oakley Hall Hotel this weekend (10th August 2024) as this was where his Boarding school was from 1968-1973. I can not express how organised his celebrations were! My contact was Jenna Penhallurick from the start and highly recommend her organisations skills. Jenna was quick to reply to my enquiries and ensured the weekend went well. On the night my contact was Charlie who again was so helpful and highly organised as I was a little worried as there was a BIG event in the same room before ours and could not fault the turn around to make the room beautiful for my guests. All my guests could not fault the hotel, staff, grounds and the scrumptious food presented beautifully. On departure the manger Noel was very helpful and kind. So if you are thinking of a wedding, party or just a stay then I would give this 5 stars. If only it had a pool and gym facilities then I would stay for a weeks holiday. The grounds are beautiful to take a stroll around. There is a kitchen garden, stunning trees and a cute little cottage. We will definitely be back just for a weekend break in the countryside
