Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit

When everything goes so perfectly, why go anywhere else!? This was our third visit to Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, and it certainly won’t be our last. We do extensive research before choosing our annual vacation destination, and no other resort compares to the exceptional service provided by Grand Velas to every member of the family. We are a family of 4, traveling with our two boys (8 and 1). This year, we spent 12 days at GVRN and feel incredibly fortunate to have enjoyed such a wonderful vacation experience. GVRN makes everything so easy, consistently delivering reliable top-notch service. From the moment we arrived and were greeted with warm smiles, welcome drinks, and relaxing massages, we knew we had made the right choice in returning. Throughout our stay, we felt genuinely cared for and enjoyed every moment. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every member of our family had the best vacation imaginable. Each request was handled promptly and kindly. This place is truly magical and holds a special place in our hearts. Each visit has been relaxing, memorable, and phenomenal. We absolutely can’t wait to return! Resort: Each visit, we notice that the resort is thoughtfully updated and improved in some way. This year we enjoyed the newly added Amat coffee shop in the lobby and stayed in a recently renovated Ocean Front Master Suite, which was gorgeous and so peaceful!! The beds were super comfy!! As we have been to all three Grand Velas properties, these are the reasons we love and keep returning to Riviera Nayarit: The sunsets are breathtaking; Enrique Perez at Sen Lin treats us like royalty and we look forward to seeing him each visit; The beach is stunning, the water is warm and swimmable, and there is no seaweed; The pools are heated (which we love even in the summer); The Spa is one of the highest rated in the world and is extraordinary; The gym is excellent and the aerial yoga is a unique highlight; Summerland is perfect for the kids; The Show de Fuego is a family favorite and the evening entertainment is great for the entire family. Service: The service at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit is exceptional. Every single employee we came across was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help in any way possible. Even the gardeners will pause their work as you pass to say hello. Every request was met with a smile and “it’s a pleasure.” While the service has been consistently stellar all three of our stays, it is still amazing to witness the high level of service the moment you step foot on the resort. A special thank you to Luis Mateo, who was our concierge this trip. We were so lucky to be under his attentive and thoughtful care. He checked in on us daily, provided helpful information about local tours, ensured all our dinner reservations were perfect, and even arranged for baby food puree to be ready at each restaurant so our 1-your-old son could dine with us each evening. He was so warm and friendly! Luis even coordinated the daytime

First class hospitatility at a beautiful resort. The food at each restraunt is delicious. Special thanks to Carlos, Emee down at the pool and Mario, Luis, and Isaac who helped with so much each day. Came with my family during off season, everyone had such a great vacation.

Grand Velas is the best place to stay/visit in Puerto Vallarta. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect. The beach is beautiful, the pool is wonderful, and the food is all amazing!

The entire staff were friendly. The service was excellent. They couldn’t be more attentive and go out of their way to make sure you were happy. The food at every restaurant was fabulous. The drinks were delicious. Our suite was amazing. The set up at the pool and beach was absolutely gorgeous!

We just returned from an unforgettable week at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, and I can’t say enough about the incredible service and thoughtfulness of the entire staff. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how accommodating and kind everyone was—especially for my husband, who has a spinal cord injury and uses a manual wheelchair full-time. The trip started off perfectly with the welcome massages, which set the tone for a week of relaxation and luxury. It was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel instantly at ease. Raymond, the Pool Concierge, was absolutely phenomenal. We were thrilled to learn the resort had just purchased a beach wheelchair, and with the help of Alec Gomez, the Lifeguard, they safely brought my husband to a beach cabana. They made sure he was always in the perfect shade and were quick to help him in and out of the pool whenever he wanted a swim. It’s rare to feel so genuinely cared for—and these two went above and beyond every single day. Gabriel, our beach waiter, was also outstanding. Because of my husband’s condition, he doesn’t sweat, so Gabriel frequently brought us fresh towels and kept our ice bucket filled without us even having to ask. He was attentive, warm, and always on top of everything. At the spa, Letecia and Carmen gave us the best massages we’ve ever had. Their hands are pure magic. And special thanks to Raymondo, who was right there to help my husband transfer onto the massage table with care and professionalism. Our daughters (age 16) also had a blast thanks to Carlos, who gave them great surf lessons and made all the beach activities—especially volleyball—so fun and engaging. We also loved all of the restaurants—the food, the service, and the ambiance were exceptional. Uziel, Jorge, and Jorge (yes, two amazing staff members with the same name!) made each dining experience even better with their outstanding service and warm personalities. The only exception was Frida, where we had a small issue one evening. But it was just a minor hiccup in an otherwise perfect stay and didn’t take away from our amazing experience. The resort itself is impressively accessible. When we encountered a couple of small barriers, the staff acted quickly to make adjustments—removing the legs from the bed for easier transfers and even taking off the bathroom door so my husband’s wheelchair could fit through comfortably. Those may seem like small things, but they made a huge difference in our experience. Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit is more than just a luxury resort—it’s a place that truly cares about all its guests. We’re already dreaming of our next visit.

We just had our wedding here and we had the best week celebrating and vacationing with our closest family and friends. We loved working with Gaby Gonzalez, the best wedding planner we could have asked for. Her attentiveness and dedication was amazing. She is so personable and the perfect person for this job. Anyone to know Gaby is so lucky to have her in their lives. We thank you Gaby and the rest of the GVRN team for all your help on our special day! The service here is unmatched along with some of the best food you will ever have. We will definitely be back and plan to visit the rest of the grand Velas resorts in Mexico.
