293 on Komba Guest Lodge - Adults Only

My husband and I loved our stay at 293 on Komba. The room was perfect with a comfortable bed, warm shower and a lounge area outside the room. In fact, the resort has a variety of places to lounge up on the deck, near the pool and down by the beach. Speaking of the beach, you can snorkel to a beautiful coral reef directly from the beach with so many tropical fish and even sea turtles (I saw 5 during one swim!). They have snorkeling equipment to borrow if needed. Marcine and Danielle were wonderful hosts. On day one they found out our interests and made the perfect recommendations for tours. If you want to learn about local culture, see wildlife or just relax, they have recommendations for all of it. The village is a short walk on the beach from the resort which you can easily explore on your own for souvenir shopping, drinks, or lunch. The food served during breakfast and dinner was divine. We never had the same dish twice. If you are traveling to the area, I highly recommend 293 on Komba as a place to stay.

A group of our friends spent a week at 293 on Komba and had the most amazing time. This is my 5th visit and I keep returning to this amazing guest house situated right on the beach. The beauty of visiting this island is its relaxed feel and Malagash charm having the village to explore right at the end of the beach. Also, visiting the black lemurs on the island is a must

Marcine and Danielle, run a fabulous lodge in a perfect setting! The food is beautifully presented and they use the local Malagasy flavours to create wonderful meals. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Their staff so very helpful Ns friendly. I only wish we could return every year!

The word relaxed took on a new meaning for me personally. I really felt I had found a piece of paradise. Marcine, Danielle and staff know how to make their guests feel special. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week there, ate the most amazing meals and slept beautifully. The breakfast area and day bed were our favorite spots. Beautiful trees supply wonderful shade during the hot days. The atmosphere created by Marcine, Danielle and staff is uniquely special.

A fantastic place to stay. Marcine and her staff were very welcoming and we had some lovely meals eating with Marcine and the other guests. This created a lovely homely feeling. The rooms (only 4) are very spacious with very effective mosquito nets and a fan inside the net which worked just as well as air conditioning! Marcine is very thoughtful with each guest and will organise tours around the area. It was a beautiful place to end our trip to Madagascar and we will definitely return!!

A little slice of heaven. The perfect place to reboot. Marcine is a wonderful host, and knows Komba and surrounds well. She goes out of her way to ensure that every guests needs are met. The staff at 293 are delightful and its an idyllic getaway
